Go, Tea Party, Go!!!!

Yes, there is nothing like seeing tea party leaders threaten the GOP, STATEWIDE. And coming from their no doubt, racist leader, Dale Robertson. Oh, you don't know him? Here he is holding a sign about our President proudly in his hands during one of his protests.



But back to the Tea Party threatening the GOP:

Dale Robertson doesn't mince words. The tea party spokesperson and head of Teaparty.org in Houston issued a strong statement this week warning state GOP leaders that if they didn't support strongly conservative candidates, their jobs were at risk.

"We are turning our guns on anyone who doesn't support constitutional conservative candidates," Robertson said. "If they don't get that, and their party chairmen don't get that, they are going to be ostracized."

Jim Greer, Florida's GOP Chairman, was forced to resign earlier this week under similar pressure from far-right activists following his endorsement of Charlie Crist, a "big-tent" Republican who has been criticized by some conservative factions for being too moderate. Tea Party activists have backed Crist's opponent, Marco Rubio, in the upcoming Republican primary.

It is people like this within the Republican Party that are running moderates out of the party. This is why Governor Charlie Crist (R-FL) is having a very difficult time in Florida from his opponent State Senator Marco Rubio. Again, keep an eye on this primary race in Florida, if the Tea Party is successful, Crist will lose his bid on running in the general election for the open U.S. Senate seat.

BREAKING NEWS: Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) is resigning, announced at staff meeting

This is not a slam dunk. It is breaking news at CNN.

This rumor has been out there for a while.

If he does resign, this gives Governor Crist a chance (who is running for Martinez's seat), to appoint himself. This also will help him in a possibly hard primary against a stone cold conservative, Rubio. It is about shoring up a seat to HOLD IT.

Governor Charlie Crist (R-FL) will run for the senate seat in Florida

He is very popular, a moderate, and from Florida. This is the Mel Martinez seat in Florida. Martinez is not running for the senate.

This will be a tough pick up for the Democrats, but we will see, because there will be opposition in Republican primary.

Florida's popular Republican Gov. Charlie Crist is confirming that he will run for the U.S. Senate next year instead of seeking a second term.

The Florida race is important to Republicans nationally as they try to keep Democrats from a 60-seat majority in the Senate.

Crist immediately becomes the front-runner in the Senate race. He has maintained approval ratings in the high 60-percent range despite Florida's gloomy economy, budget cuts, a high foreclosure rate and high unemployment.

Crist's announcement has been anticipated since shortly after Republican Sen. Mel Martinez said in December he wouldn't seek a second term in 2010.

Crist is a top prize for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which has been scrambling for viable candidates in competitive swing states. read more here.......

Florida Governor Charlie Crist EXPANDS Early Voting Hours

Why would a republican governor expand the early voting hours, effective immediately from 7A-7P in Florida?

Florida Governor Charlie Crist, to the shock and dismay of Florida Republicans, just moved to extend early voting hours, a move likely to widen the Democrats' lead under a program on which the Obama campaign has intensely focused.

"He just blew Florida for John McCain," one plugged in Florida Republican just told me.

The hours in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties have been 3/4 hour wait time. It was the republican state legislature that changed the hours to 8 from 12. Now Crist signs an executive order, effective immediately to extend the early voting hours?

Are we seeing sour grapes for McCain? If Crist was picked for VP, Obama would not have a serious chance in the state.

Let's be honest, the GOP are afraid of the lines they are seeing for early voting, especially in Florida and Georgia. There are seeing new, young, and AA voters coming out at a record number and they are afraid. Besides, we all know they are not about everybody voting. The GOP are notorious for tricks and mischief to suppress the voter turnout.

Charlie Crist, may be sending a political message to McCain, but is doing the right thing.
