MSNBC's resident racist, Pat Buchanan shows his true colors (Video)

Chris Matthews has been spot on about exposing these crazy birthers. Of course, Buchanan don't want us to keep talking about it, but these folks are part of the Republican Party and they need to deal with them. The more they are exposed, the more moderates and independents STAY AWAY from the Republican Party. And yes, these birthers are racists and those that don't denounce them are HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE.

Rachel Maddow picks apart Pat Buchanan's argument, point by point (Video)

One thing about Rachel Maddow, that can not be disputed is that she is one of the smartest and intelligent journalists on television right now. She allowed Pat Buchanan to literally hang himself with his racist diatribe when he appeared on her show last week. Tonight she picked him apart point-by-point with FACT. And MSNBC, yes, you do have a resident racist on your network, next what are you going to do about "Uncle Pat"?

And he is one of the reasons, why the Republicans are OUT. If anyone listened to Judge Sonia Sotomayor, one word you will not come up with is militant, but not by the resident racist. The man is just shameful. This is from Hardball.

Pat Buchanan states that the First Dude, Todd Palin should take"Levi down to the creek and hold his head underwater until the thrashing stops" (Video)

This exchange happened on the morning joke or joe show on MSNBC. From none other that Pat Buchanan, MSNBCs resident racist.

First, Levi Johnston was on the NBCs Today Show giving his take on why Sarah Palin has all of a sudden quit her job as Governor of Alaska. He said it is about money for the Palins. And to be honest, IT IS. Again, she hit the lower 48 and loved the opportunity for making big money. Look, that is what she is doing and what she is about. Now is Johnston all candy and sweet, of course not, he is about money too. He knows the dirt and is willing to put it out there for a nice dollar amount. Lastly, Johnston states that Sarah Palin said it would be nice to "take the money and run." Nice coming from a reformer and a person who cares about the citizens of Alaska. What a joke.

Now, Pat Buchanan's ridiculous remarks:

From Hardball on Sarah Palin: "...she thinks she's got a shot, ....but she needs an education..." (video)

Need an education? That is being too kind. Palin can't wait to leave Alaska and won't be back there much. Once you have tasted the lower 48, Alaska is so not with it. Sorry, but this is what is driving Palin. If she wants to run for the presidency, girlfriend needs serious books and needs to seriously study. What we saw during the 2008 Presidential Campaign is what we DON'T want, another dummy running around the White House. Been there, done that!!

Pat Buchanan is a Cracker.

Repost from Margaret and Helen blog. A must read.

Margaret, this old gal has clearly lived too long. Never in my life did I think I would see a bunch of old, white men claiming they are being discriminated against. I am sure the Hispanic women who cleaned their houses today are having a good laugh… or a good cry. Honestly, the absurdity of it all is more than I can take. Stick me in a hole and throw some dirt on top of me. I’m done.

If you are born a white, male Christian in today’s world and life didn’t turn out the way you wanted, you probably have only yourself and the Rush Limbaugh Show to blame. Some exceptions probably do exist, but if you’re a commentator on a cable news channel you’re probably the rule and not the exception.

Pat Buchanan is an idiot. I mean it. Really

Helen, dear, I sent an email to that talented Susan Boyle telling her that I thought she had the voice of an angel and that I wanted her to sing at my funeral. Her response said she was free next Thursday.

That says it ALL about Pat Buchanan.

Tamron Hall, MSNBC, to Pat Buchanan, "Doors have been closed to me because I'm a black woman" (Video)

MSNBC needs to let their resident racist, Pat Buchanan go. Why? Because this is nothing but continuing dribble about Judge Sonya Sotomayor and his racist view that anyone that went to college got it through affirmative action. He really needs to let this go.

Enter Pat Buchanan and his "white males never get a break" argument against Sotomayor

Here we go again.

We know that the climate is vicious and that some element of the Republican establishment has tried to tamp down the hate, race, sexist element from all these analysts on tv, but Pat Buchanan takes the cake.

I highlight him because he has been on television a very long time spewing all his "they hate the white man" bullshit for years. He hates affirmative action at any junction and if someone does not look like him, you can forget it.

Which is why, he along with King Rush and President Gingrich are the vocal leaders in promoting their disdain against a Latino woman who did nothing but the right thing.

If it ain't white in their corner, it ain't right.

Here we have the resident, code talker, Pat Buchanan on Hardball.

I know, why the hell is he on television? Well, he is there for amusement and to rally whatever troops the Republicans have left for the white man's plight!! Which for the record is no plight, but when you have a megaphone on television you are allowed to say any shit necessary, be it true or not!!

And then Buchanan goes bottom feeding on Washington Journal, C-SPAN. I am not knocking Washington Journal, the show has informative guests and topics, but let's be real, those callers are a piece of work. Talk about conspiracy theories? None of them would be allowed on this site AT ALL!!

I guess 5 or 10 years ago, I would be worried about this negative noise, but I am not any longer. This is a Republican Party issue, the nullification of minorities allowed in their group. It is the Pat Buchanans, Rush Limbaughs, Glenn Becks, Hannitys, Bill O'Reillys that the Republicans have to worry about.

Case and point.

The overt niceness that have come from the Republican Senators on the Hill towards Sotomayor. And you know what, that is great, but what about a SPINE.

A spine as in denouncing, publicly, by name all these racist and sextists gasbags that have been on television and talk radio 24/7 spewing race bait and code language since last week. What about denouncing that GOP senators on the hill?

Ah, but they never will. Why? They are not forward thinking or even thinkers. They are still holding the Lee Atwater playbook, that has been revised by Karl Rove. Believing that there are just enough to make that 50.1 to win elections, believing if they let others make the point that it will become cement.

Unfortunately, not this time, not when you have the Latino community the largest and fastest growing in this country. Attempting to disqualify a highly distinguished judge who has sat on the bench for 17 years is a hard one to swallow. And if you think the Latino community won't remember, watch the 527 ads that will pop up on Spanish language television with the images of Pat Buchanan, Rush Limbaugh, attached to Judge Sotomayor and the reminder of their words, underlined at the end to remind folks they are REPUBLICAN.

That is going to be a hard one to beat.

Pat Buchanan, a relic from the throwback era

I was getting coffee this morning and of course, my husband had on morning joe or morning joke, as I call it. Anyway, here comes the sour puss face of Pat Buchanan. But there was one thing different here, he really looked sour and upset, as in defeated.

Buchanan showed his age by the old "affirmative action" argument. A racist argument from the 60s, 70s. This was used against African-Americans ALL THE TIME. Now that the Hispanics are the fastest growing group, I guess this old argument must be dusted off and used, AGAIN.

The truth is he and many who THINK like him are defeated.

The plight of the "white male" as the end all and be all of everything has been over, Buchanan has just realized this as the train has left.

Yesterday, I watched Hardball, Buchanan looked like he was about to have a heart attack in regards to Sonia Sotomayer. In fact, Buchanan was so livid that he said, ".....the Republicans better stand for something...." in regards to going after Sotomayor.

The fact is that most Republicans, especially D.C. Republicans are showing much restraint. Sure you have the bottom feeders that will always be there to be "shock jocks" or the wingnuts in talk radio land, but in the end these folks are not up for re-election, nor are they helping their own cause by bringing more to the Republican fold. The heads up on this was the John McCain statement for Sotomayor:

"I congratulate Judge Sonia Sotomayer on her nomination by the President to be an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court," read a statement from his office. "I look forward to examining her record thoroughly during the Senate confirmation process."

McCain smells the tealeaves. McCain is up for re-election in 2012 and Arizona has a heavy Hispanic voting block, don't expect him to ruffle any feathers in regards to Sotomayer. In fact, if McCain was not the Republican Presidential Candidate from Arizona in 2008, Obama would have won Arizona, EASILY. McCain only won his home state by 53% of the vote and expect Arizona to lean blue for 2012, if all holds well for Obama.

Buchanan is from a very dying legacy. The legacy of the "angry, bitter, white male". These are the same men who run the Republican Party and are staunchly refusing that word called, "change". This is the party that is embracing the likes of Rush Limbaugh who has angered every ethnic group except the "angry, bitter, white male."

We must thank the political mastery of the Obama White House. They have made the argument and sold it to the public that what the Republican Party is about is what we hear and see daily: the Rush Limbaughs, Dick Cheneys, Hannitys, Glenn Becks, Newt Gingrichs, Joe Scarboroughs, Bill O'Reillys, Pat Buchanans, with the comic relief and exception of their token clown, Michael Steele. These are the faces of the Republican Party. One that includes no one but "angry, bitter, white males". This is a turn off to everyone else that is not in that group, including women. Their continued hate on anyone not like them have turned the American Public, off. These are the political analysts that have the pulse on the American Public and have been wrong at every turn.

As long as we have the fat cat, King of Talk Radio, Rush Limbaugh calling Judge Sonia Sotomayor a racist and President Obama a reverse racist, the Republican Party will never get the Hispanic vote for decades to come. And, they will NOT get the African-American vote EVER. WORD on that one.

From Hardball: Pat Buchanan having a heart attack on Sotomayer and said the ....the Republicans better stand for something.... (Video)

The code talking, Pat Buchanan has read the tea leaves. When John McCain came out immediately with this statement on Judge Sotomayer:

"I congratulate Judge Sonia Sotomayer on her nomination by the President to be an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court," read a statement from his office. "I look forward to examining her record thoroughly during the Senate confirmation process."

That statement by John McCain says one thing, he is up for re-election, Arizona is heavily Hispanic and expect him to vote, YAY for Sotomayer.

Pentagon no longer quotes bible versus' on briefings (Video)

That GQ article was a bombshell. I posted it yesterday. It was a huge eyeopener on Rumsfeld and on Bush. Now we have the Pentagon clearing it all up.

The Pentagon said Monday it no longer includes a Bible quote on the cover page of daily intelligence briefings it sends to the White House as was practice during the Bush administration.

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said he did not know how long the Worldwide Intelligence Update cover sheets quoted from the Bible. Air Force Maj. Gen. Glen Shaffer, who was responsible for including them, retired in August 2003, according to his biography.

For a period in 2003, at least, the daily reports prepared for President George W. Bush carried quotes from the books of Psalms and Ephesians and the Gospel of Peter. At the time, the reports focused largely on the war in Iraq.

The Bible quotes apparently aimed to support Bush at a time when soldiers' deaths in Iraq were on the rise, according to the June issue of CQ magazine. But they offended at least one Muslim analyst at the Pentagon and worried other employees that the passages were inappropriate.

On Thursday, April 10, 2003, for example, the report quoted the book of Psalms — "Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him. ... To deliver their soul from death." — and featured pictures of the statue of Saddam Hussein being pulled down and celebrating crowds in Baghdad. read more here.....

Obviously, it happened and all I can type is "what next to come from under the rug during the Bush years." Again, separation of church and state was WRITTEN explicitly for a reason with metric to govern. The Bush Administration just ignored it, as they did many things during their tenure.

From the Ed Show

And Pat Buchanan had a cow on Hardball over this.....

Stop making excuses for America's bad behavior

Watching morning joke and his sidekick Pat Buchanan on morning joe makes one shake their head.

Today, make excuses why a dose of torture is great?

Overall, pathetic.

Why does anyone think we are in the predicament we are in? Primarily because of these techniques which, overall, did not help us in the War on Terror.

Let's not make excuses for bad decisions by the Bush Administration. Starting at the top with George W. Bush on down to his lackey former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez. These folks thought they were end all of be all, but at the end of the day they are standing with egg on their faces.

The Bush Administration former lap dogs should be worried about these torture memos out there, because they lied to the American public's face stating that we don't torture but the memos indicate otherwise. Furthermore, Obama vindicates the agents who were told to torture on the eve of him visiting the CIA. The CIA visit was reinforcement, that the regular joe at the CIA will not have to face any criminal charges, which I don't agree with, but the greater question is what about those who gave the order?

That question has not been answered, yet. And if Obama lets these clowns go scott free, he is going to have a tough time down the road.

So, you see why anyone who was involved in any torture, with any authority, should be worried about these memos out.

No wonder many wanted a pre-pardon from Bush. This story is far from over.

Obama is making us look weak

Amazing, just amazing that folks like Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan can sit up on television and state that Obama is making the U.S. look weak. Shaking hands with Hugo Chavez is a gesture. Remember, George W. Bush said that he could look into Putin's sole and know he is a good man. See how far that got us? At least Obama did not make a stupid statement like that, but acted like a gracious politician that he is.

It is smarmy statements like this that did not help us fight the Iraq War, which bankrupted this country, don't believe it, ask our banker named, China. But the right winged talkers are exploding at the seams because of a handshake.

Concerned troll Buchanan states that Obama is being made a mockery of, accepting the anti-American book by Chavez. What does this mean? Absolutely, nothing. One thing we have learned is that Barack Obama is a gracious man, who is also a hard ball politician. Don't believe it? Ask Hillary Clinton or John McCain, whose dust was left on the election road by Obama. Taking a picture, shaking a hand, means nothing. But being in the room with persons of state who we have direct disagreement and starting dialogue is a beginning.

Concerned trolls Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan seem to have limited memory. Let me refresh it for you. Barack Obama campaigned on retaining our stature in the international arena, it means having conversation with those countries who may hate us. It was the "us against them" attitude that left the United States isolated in the War of Terror.

The former administration left an international mess, besides the domestic one, it is up to our new head of state to push forward the new policy of the United States of America. To say he is a mockery or failure and not even 100 days in is psycho talk, as Ed Schultz puts it.

I guess the only way that conservatives or so called conservatives can go forward is by the daily pounding of images they think they see, instead of being real about it. The Fox News of the world with Nazi images and comparing Obama as one is one of the main reasons that the Republican Party is on the outs right now in this country.

The same old spin, rinse, repeat is all the conservatives have right now.

Obama Evening Wrap Up. Resignation from the Senate.

Vice-President Cheney and Lynn Cheney, with Vice-President Elect Joe Biden and Jill Biden at the VP Residence, US Naval Observatory

Obama Resigns

"It has been one of the highest honors and privileges of my life to have served the people of Illinois in the United States Senate. In a state that represents the crossroads of a nation, I have met so many men and women who’ve taken different journeys, but hold common hopes for their children’s future. It is these Illinois families and their stories that will stay with me as I leave the United States Senate and begin the hard task of fulfilling the simple hopes and common dreams of all Americans as our nation’s next President," said President-elect Barack Obama.

Pat Buchanan, Just Amazing

I watched Hardball tonight with utter amazement.

The Republican Governor's Convention is going on in Florida. Many governors are frank and admitting what the Republican Party needs to do to remain relevant.

Governor Tim Pawlenty, (R-MN) was quite frank.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty -- passed over by Sen. John McCain for the No. 2 spot on the presidential ticket and one of nine GOP governors who preside over states won by Barack Obama -- offered a summary of his party's predicament at the governors' opening lunch.

"We cannot be a majority governing party when we essentially cannot compete in the Northeast, we are losing our ability to compete in Great Lakes states, we cannot compete on the West Coast, we are increasingly in danger of competing in the mid-Atlantic states, and the Democrats are now winning some of the Western states," Pawlenty said. "That is not a formula for being a majority governing party in this nation."

As if that weren't enough, he ticked off a few more challenges.

"Similarly we cannot compete, and prevail, as a majority governing party if we have a significant deficit, as we do, with women, where we have a large deficit with Hispanics, where we have a large deficit with African American voters, where we have a large deficit with people of modest incomes and modest financial circumstances. Those are not factors that make up a formula for success going forward."

All the above is true.

The hard rhetoric against persons of color and women has greatly minimized the Republican Party, we saw the effect last Tuesday on Election Day. The country is changing, and the change is in persons of color and women. The Republican Party does not represent them, is not trying to persuade them, but continue on the track of snide, mean-sprited attacks and it all was a backlash on Election Day.

Then we have two Republicans on Chris Matthews show, Hardball, one white and one black and the difference is stark.

Pat Buchanan is living in the 50s/60s and it was apparent in his approach. He is one of the reasons why the Republican Party is what it is now, "the good old white boy, southern regional party." It is, what it is.

Breaking News: Hillary Clinton Considered for Secretary of State

Keith Olbermann is breaking this story now.

Clinton traveled to Chicago today.
Two Obama advisers have told NBC News that Hillary Clinton is under consideration to be secretary of state. Would she be interested? Those who know Clinton say possibly. But her office says that any decisions about the transition are up to the president-elect and his team.

Clinton was seen taking a flight to Chicago today, but an adviser says it was on personal business. It is unknown whether she had any meeting or conversation with Obama while there.

Other Democrats known to want the State Department post are Sen. John Kerry and Gov. Bill Richardson. A possible compromise choice would be former Sen. Tom Daschle.

Remember, the Doris Kearns Goodwin book, "Team of Rivals". This would be a very bold choice and I see her in this position. Or is this leak a smoke screen for something else?

So, what is next for Richardson and Kerry, who are jocking for this job?
