Whatever that means.
CNN states DEFINITELY, it is Joe Biden.
And to the Obama Campaign, WTF and WTH?
What about the supporters being the FIRST TO KNOW?
What happened to that one?
I am not a Joe Biden fan, I think this is a sell out pick, but will support the ticket all the way.
Anyway, pissed that we should have been first but, got to be LAST.
Secret Service supposedly dispatched to Joe Biden's home in Delaware.
Kaine and Bayh, supposedely told, "NOT YOU".
And still we don't know "FOR SURE" who the VP Pick is.
But there is always TOMORROW......
Hope you got that text messaging from Obama down.....
Is it Senator Joe Biden (D-DE)?
Marc Armbinder has tracked a charter that left Chicago Midway Airport to Delaware. The only charter to do so?
Remember, it was Armbinder that tracked that Obama/John Edwards meeting, the very same way.
Or is it Evan Bayh? From that Obama/Bayh bumper sticker it makes you wonder.
Or is it the unknown congressman from Texas? Yes, Texas.
Or is all of this a head fake?
Just make sure you got your text message or email information to the Obama Campaign, to be the first to know.
Rice says US-Iraq coming together on timetables
Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said Thursday the two countries have agreed that timetables should be set for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the battle-scarred country.
Appearing together at a news conference, Rice and Zebari mutually asserted that a final agreement between Washington and Baghdad on a withdrawal plan and accompanying strategic framework pact is close to fruition — but not there yet.
"We have agreed that some goals, some aspirational timetables for how that might unfold, are well worth having in such an agreement," Rice told reporters after meeting with Iraqi officials, including Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. The two sides had come together on a draft agreement earlier this week and Rice made an announced visit to Baghdad to press officials there to complete the accord. continue
Another talking point taken away from John McCain. There is going to be a timetable and we are getting out of Iraq. NEXT.

The McCain Mansion Talk Continues.....
The McCain Campaign only has ITSELF to blame. Thanks to the candidate and lack of memory to the basic and most simple question. He has become a laughing stock and this will be touted ALL NEXT WEEK.

John McCain running on negative
For John McCain to get upset over his OWN GAFFE and try to pawn this off on Obama attacking Cindy McCain is another example of how negative he is willing and WANT to go.
McCain's gaffe over not knowing how many homes, mansions he owns is this, seven properties with nine homes on them. Some of the properties include guest homes. The McCain Campaign does not want the public lingering over his wife's wealth, which is his wealth, too, since he is married to her. Nor does he want the public wondering if John McCain really understands not only their economic strife, but the economy as a whole when you are running around in AMPLE homes.
See the public, GETS THIS. The public understands, THIS. This is why McCain will be going nuclear on Obama, sooner than later.
What folks around the country are seeing:
and Keith's take:
More VP Stuff: Obama: Running Mate a 'Partner' on the Economy
Barack Obama, whose oratory and opposition to the war in Iraq helped propel him to the Democratic presidential nomination, said Thursday he's preparing for an election that he believes will turn on the economy.
In an interview here with USA TODAY, Obama spoke about his multiracial background, the meteoric journey that will take him to Denver to accept his party's presidential nomination next Thursday night and the potential obstacles that follow. The interview took place during a three-day campaign swing that took him through traditionally Republican communities of the rural south.
While Obama said he had settled on a running mate, he would not offer a name or even say whether he had yet informed his choice. Voters' economic anxieties played a role in his decision. Obama said he sought someone who "will be a partner with me in strengthening this economy for the middle class and working families." In addition to being a partner, his running mate will be a sparring partner, he said. "I want somebody who's independent, somebody who can push against my preconceived notions and challenge me," he said. continue

Goin' to the Mattresses
We all know what this means.
When sh*t hits the fan, you do whatever to survive and one up the next guy.
The major GAFFE by John McCain, not knowing how many houses he has is spiraling into a mess, for McCain.
It just reiterates what many already know, this man is completely out of touch. How can anyone with 10 homes even relate to little ol' us, who are just working stiffs, trying to keep things going? He can't.
Now he is going to the mattresses. He already released a Rezko, "House Ad", which is weak, but is not refraining from Reverend Wright. Meaning, expect one soon.
Yes, he will go down this road to make this about race. This is the only way he can win, to divide the populous. Haven't we seen this show?
Anyway, this is going to be nasty. Remember, to hang in there, we can win but only together.
Bombshell Ad, "SEVEN"
Cindy McCain Can't Tell the Truth
The latest embellishments come from the McCain camp. Cindy McCain has repeatedly referred to herself as an “only child.” This week came news that she actually has two half sisters, although apparently she had very little contact with them.
The McCain campaign had also put out the story that Mother Teresa “convinced” Cindy to bring home two orphans from Bangladesh in 1991.
Mrs. McCain, it turns out, never met Mother Teresa on that trip. (Once contacted by the Monitor, the campaign revised the story on its website.)
Such exaggerations may simply be the product of a faulty memory or a desire to be “better” than one is in a political culture that requires larger-than-life idols. But with the advent of the fact-checking obsessed blogosphere – and a media racing to keep up – such self-aggrandizement doesn’t last as long as it once did.
“It’s all about myth-making,” says Darrell West, the director of governance studies at the Brookings Institution in Washington. “Politicians love to turn their stories into great epics, and sometimes they have to embellish to smooth out the story line.”
“But now there are too many professional and amateur fact-checkers,” he says. “And there are hundreds if not thousands of bloggers who have detailed knowledge on specialized information, so you really can’t get away with stretching the truth anymore.”

McCain wanted this scummy fight.
Now he is perceiving that Obama is attacking Cindy McCain because of her lavish spending and the homes.
This house, thingy is a bombshell. It is called, "peeling the onion" on McCain.
Now, they are shaking and the gloves are off.
Rezko and Reverend Wright ads are now being made.
We must keep it together, me included, and ride the rollercoaster until November.
Sen. John McCain's campaign is finishing a hard-hitting television ad highlighting Barack Obama 's ties to shady Chicago land dealer Tony Rezko, the one-time Obama patron who was convicted earlier this summer of fraud.
A campaign official said that the decision to Go Rezko was Obama's. "He's opened the door to this," the official said.
The ad will be released to network news divisions in time for their broadcasts tonight.
Now I don't care about Rezko, because we can dig and throw out Keating 5 scandal, for memory lane. Rezko can be debunked.
And enter the good reverend.
Earlier in the news cycle, McCain's press team invoked Obama's friendship with a former member of the Weatherman, William Ayres, and an official said that even Obama's former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, "is now fair game." The official declined to say whether the campaign was contemplating running an advertisement linking Obama to Wright.
And the McCain Campaign must have millionaire blinders on because they really do not believe that the "class stuff will work":
McCain strategists hope that Obama's brass knuckles punch doesn't work. "Americans don't like this class warfare stuff," the official said. They aspire to be rich, the official said.
How 'effin stupid is that analogy?
Now, we all know about the good reverend, and I KNOW the Obama Campaign got a response.
We know what this is about. Making this campaign a race charged one. This is the only way that McCain can attempt to EVEN win. Remember, this we must keep our eyes on the prize.
From the Untouchable movie, the Sean Connery character told Kevin Costner character about Chicago:
Malone: You said you wanted to get Capone. Do you really wanna get him? You see what I'm saying is, what are you prepared to do?
Ness: Anything within the law.
Malone: And *then* what are you prepared to do? If you open the can on these worms you must be prepared to go all the way. Because they're not gonna give up the fight, until one of you is dead.
Ness: I want to get Capone! I don't know how to do it.
Malone: You wanna know how to get Capone? They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. *That's* the *Chicago* way! And that's how you get Capone. Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that? I'm offering you a deal. Do you want this deal?
And that is what we are going to do to McCain. From here on out. F*ck the niceties, it is ON. But in the end, we must stay together to win this.
Update [2008-8-21 18:34:1 by icebergslim]:
McCain's Rezko Ad is out. And folks it is weak as water. View it here. h/t MLDB
We have been hard on the Obama Campaign for being tepid in responses to McCain attacks, well that issue has been put to bed.
Obama has launched a 16 state attack on John McCain and his Lust for Mansions, well seven to be exact. It all started with McCain's memory problem in not knowing how many homes he and Cindy owned. Referred the reporter to his staff to get the answer. (rolleyes) is warranted here.
In fact, McCain is a proud owner of seven homes worth over 13 million dollars. A nice, rich, round number any millionaire would be proud of.
It was only right that the Obama Campaign release a devastating ad showing all the fine qualities of John McCain when it comes to "being in touch with the common man". Yes, we all surely understand seven homes, when many of us are barely able to keep up with one.
Now the Obama Campaign is taking this to the next level. This campaign is going to make sure the American public not only know about the McCain Mansions but understand that this man is so far removed from even the "common touch", how can he possibly understand the public's strife, hardships and this country's economic crunch.
Further, some state parties will hold contests in which Democrats seek out real voters who don't know how many houses they own.
And in other states, ordinary citizens who have been victim of the mortgage crunch will hold press availabilities to contrast their plight with McCain's wealth.
The aggressive move on Obama's part is in keeping with a shift in campaign tactics since his vacation. Obama and his campaign aides have both ramped up their rhetoric in recent days. This latest effort reflects a willingness to hit McCain much harder and to veer from conventional issue-based attacks to the sort of character assaults that have marked the GOP's campaign against Obama as well as their effort against John Kerry in 2004
This is all about showing the public that John McCain not only does not understand the economy, which he has said repeatedly is "OK" and "Fundamentally Strong" but that this man is a fraud and a phoney.
I cannot write enough how dangerous it will be to allow John McCain to become the next President of the United States.
Now, Obama Campaign, let's get a draft ad up, since McCain is amenable to having the draft on the table to WIN WARS.
America, it is wake up time. This election is not about being on the sleep mode. For real.
“Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people ‘cling’ to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about who’s in touch with regular Americans?”
Mr. McCain do you really want to go there with your 100M Beer Wife, Seven Homes, 500.00 plus shoes, wifey's private jet, cheating on the first wife with the second, getting a marriage license for the second before divorcing the first, and your entitlement that you should be the next POTUS? Yes, we can go there if you wish.
And here are the NUMBER of homes owned by the McCains:
John and Cindy McCain own a plethora of houses spread throughout the United States, including: two beachfront condos in Coronado, California, condo in La Jolla, California, a two-unit condominium complex in Phoenix, Arizona, three ranch houses located outside of Sedona, Arizona, a high-rise condo in Arlington, Virginia, a rental loft, and, according to GQ, a loft they bought for their daughter, Meghan.
Sigh. And I only have one meazly house.
While we are looking at the "full picture", it was McCain that said 5 million is considered "rich" to him, so he is having a heart attack on Obama's meazly 4M? Which puts Obama in the "middle class range" according to McCain?
McCain campaign spokesman Brian Rogers fires back against charges that his boss is out of touch: “Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses?”
It seems like only yesterday that earning $4 million made you middle class. . . .
Obama in North Carolina and Virginia Pictures
Back Down Memory Lane?
Yes, a song by the late, great Minnie Riperton, but a real issue for John McCain.
Remember when John McCain was asked about the birth control question? It was a question about his vote AGAINST birth control for the insurance industries, but FOR Viagra for the insurance industries.
Well, Carly Fiorina, a surrogate for McCain specifically said that women should have a CHOICE for birth control. Obviously, she was unaware of McCain's position. McCain was asked about this on his bus travels and could not remember if he voted for or against it. Video below.
Folks, there is more.
Now, John McCain cannot remember how many homes he owns?
Gee, when you are filthy rich, you cannot remember how many different pillows you lay your head on? You must refer answering a simple question of "where you live" to your staff?
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in an interview Wednesday that he was uncertain how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own.
"I think — I'll have my staff get to you," McCain told Politico in Las Cruces, N.M. "It's condominiums where — I'll have them get to you."
The correct answer is at least four, located in Arizona, California and Virginia, according to his staff. Newsweek estimated this summer that the couple owns at least seven properties.
See, this is where the elitist argument breaks down. And I wrote about this earlier, here. Just as McCain was flippant to answering the question of threshold of what rich is and his response was, "5 million dollars". An answer so out of touch it is impossible for the average person to relate to an individual who has been on the dole of the government his whole life.
Being unable to remember what you vote for, where you live, how many houses you own is a question of age, stability and memory. Sorry it is. And if McCain has issues with it, it needs to be questioned.
New Hard Hitting Ad on McCain and His SEVEN HOUSES
Clinton is Whippin'
Yes, Hillary Clinton is assembling a whip team to defuse any problems at the convention with her supporters for Barack Obama.
In an unusual move, Hillary Clinton's staff is creating a 40-member "whip team" at the Denver Democratic convention to ensure that her supporters don't engage in embarrassing anti-Obama demonstrations during the floor vote on her nomination, according to people familiar with the planning.
The team, which is being organized by longtime Clinton staffer Craig Smith, is working in conjunction with Obama's floor organizers to help foster the image of a unified front during a roll-call process Clinton herself has described as an emotional "catharsis" for her disappointed supporters.
"If people get down there on the floor and want to start blowing kazoos and making a scene we want to make sure we've got people who stand in front of them with Obama signs," said a person involved in the planning. continue
Only 3 presidential debates and one vice-presidential debate
John McCain and Barack Obama say they are agreeing to hold three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate this fall.
The campaigns issued a joint statement Thursday.
Debate schedule is here.
Rural Swath of Big State Tests Obama
Wander up a gravel road and ask George Timko about Barack Obama and John McCain and he wrinkles his nose. Neither of those guys strikes him as a prize.
Mr. Timko is a burly fellow, with close-cropped white hair and a Fu Manchu mustache, and a gold necklace that rests on his bare chest. “Barack Obama makes me nervous,” said Mr. Timko, a 65-year-old retiree with a garden hose in hand. “Who is he? Where’d he come from? ”
As for Senator McCain? He shook his head. “He keeps talking about being a prisoner of war back in Vietnam. Great. The economy stinks; tell me his plan.”
To roam the rural reaches of western Pennsylvania, through largely white working-class counties, is to understand the breadth of the challenge facing the two presidential candidates. But this economically ravaged region, once so solidly Democratic, poses a particular hurdle for Senator Obama. continue, NYT
