    Senator Roland Burris' Trainwreck Presser (Video)

    Continuous swirling of this seat. An affidavit was leaked over the weekend that Burris was asked for a campaign fundraiser for former Governor Rod Blagojevich by his brother. Now the Republicans wants Burris to resign or investigation to perjury.

    Again, this seat is up for grabs in 2010, no matter who was appointed to it.

    It seems to mean Burris new that he wouldn't be seated if he admitted this at the time and is hoping that they won't take it away from him now that he has it. Do you think the omission was intentional?

    I feel sorry for this poor man and for Illinois as a result of the Blagojevich fiasco. The people of Illinois had rejected Roland Burris in a number of previous elections and this was the only way he could have obtained this Senate seat. Blagojevich was wreaking revenge on the Democrats with this appointment passing over a number of other qualified candidates. There is no way Roland Burris can be elected in 1010 and no doubt this is to the benefit of the Republicans.
