Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) retiring or leaving or both

This is a shock. He polls ok, or better than ok, in Indiana. He is blaming partisan politics for retiring. I don't know if I by all this, but Bayh did not let the President nor Senate Leader Harry Reid know he was retiring before releasing his statement. That tells you a lot.

Sen. Evan Bayh, an Indiana Democrat prominently mentioned in connection with the White House in recent years, is ready to announce he won't seek re-election, saying he's fed up with Congress.

"To put it in the words most Hoosiers can understand: I love working for the people of Indiana, I love helping our citizens make the most of their lives, but I do not love Congress," Bayh said in comments prepared for an announcement later Monday in Indianapolis. His statement was obtained by The Associated Press from a Democratic official who declined to be named publicly.

Bayh's departure continues a recent exodus from Congress among both Democrats and Republicans, including veteran Democrats Christopher Dodd of Connecticut and Patrick Kennedy of Mass. The announcements have sprung up in rapid-fire fashion amid polls showing a rising anti-incumbent fervor and voter anger over Washington partisanship, high unemployment, federal deficits and lucrative banking industry bonuses.

Look for this seat to lean Republican, bad news for Obama and the Democrats. And no, I am not an Evan Bayh fan but politically this is disastrous for the Democrats.

If you don't believe the Democrats are weak, watch this video

I have written most of 2009 about Barack Obama, the Democrats and leadership. Well, the historians will have a hay day on Obama and 2009, along with the capitulation of the Democrats in D.C. Obama's lack of leadership on his cornerstone "wannabee" legislation of health care will be written about a man who did NOTHING, but just hand it off to the corrupt congress who did what congress does, change the bill to a corporate giveaway to the insurance companies.

Many state just pass that atrocious health care bill as is, well fine, but be prepared to campaign on tax hikes, mandatory purchase of insurance, which is not popular with the public. In fact, the public hates this senate bill, but the Democrats who are stuck in back room deals, must take it. This bill will not save one endangered Democrat in November, you know that and I know that, but to pass legislation because we don't have shit to show for it just proves how far the Democrats have dropped.

There are many who follow Barack Obama and listen to every word out of his mouth as gospel, I am not one of those. I worked very hard on getting Obama and Democrats elected in 2008, to only see what we have.

Scared, weak, corporate bought Democrats.

As 2010 is ramping up, look what we have. A health care that is on oxygen. A jobs bill that will be riddled with "tax cuts" because that is what Republicans want. And Democrats running scurred because instead of doing their jobs, they are trying to save their jobs.

2010 will be hard on Democrats and to be quite honest, it should be. When you are in the majority and don't have shit to show for it, do you think these people should stay in power?

Racism alive and well, case and point, former Congressman Tom Tancredo (Video)

Has anyone ever questioned why the Tea Party movement has no persons of color? NONE. It is stuff like this that is so wrong on many levels, that idiots like Tancredo are not called out on it. It is also stuff like this that is a total turnoff to most Americans.

And it took Meghan McCain on The View to totally go off on the Tea Party movement and Tancredo:

Republicans make excuses not to meet with President Obama about health care on TELEVISION (Video)

Well, who is surprised at this? This meeting is scheduled for February 25, 2009 at the White House. The Republicans have made conditions or excuses not to show up. A list of conditions long as hell and to be honest after Obama cleaned their clock at the House GOP Retreat, why should they go back in front of the cameras to negotiate anything!!! Remember, the Republicans called Obama out for not having these health care meetings live on C-SPAN and Obama should have been called out because this was a campaign promise. Now, that the public can see negotiations in the light of day, look who is not showing up. Ummmmmmmm......

Republicans don't believe in covering anyone for health care (Video)

No surprise, this strategist just came out and said it. Democrats, why are you wasting your time trying to work with the other side when they will have NOTHING to do with you or this health insurance bill. How many times does, "WAKE UP" have to be written. And those on Medicare/Medicaid do you think the Republicans will have you continue on this program if they could get away with it? They would dump you like yesterday's news. People need to vote their life situation when it comes to these politicians.
