White House protecting Desiree Rogers on her LACK of understanding her job (Video)

Desiree Rogers, Social Secretary has been under much warranted scrutiny for the Virginia couple who got into the State Dinner, uninvited. Obviously, the proper protocol was not followed by her office to verify guests on the list, along with the Secret Service. It is all broken down, here.

On Hardball with Chris Matthews today, Congressman Bennie Thompson was questioned by Matthews on why this embarrassment is just being thrown on the Secret Service when two persons from the East Wing was TOLD that these individuals was not on the list and they did NOTHING. Rogers was even quick to state, "We were not at the door", like that is supposed to EXCUSE her office for not doing their job, when they WERE supposed to be at all doors verifying the list.

So, the representative to EXPLAIN Ms. Rogers confusion of not doing her job to congress is none other than, Melody Barnes. Ms. Barnes is the Director of the Domestic Policy Council, for the President of the United States. She has NOTHING to do with the East Wing, or Desiree Rogers job.

It is clear the White House want to move on past this, I certainly do, but Desiree Rogers clearly did not follow proper protocol on verifying individuals coming into the White House. I am on this because Barack Obama is the only sitting President with over 400% death threats against him. Folks, that is a record and Rogers is busy walking down the red carpet, being seen on television, getting up close to the powerful and famous, while neglecting her primary job.

Rogers has made Michelle Obama's office look inefficient and she needs to resign.

Secret Service needs to get it right

Well, everyone is a buzz about the D.C. area couple who busted into the State Dinner on Tuesday. This would be funny if it was a "punked joke", but for the leader of the free world, this is hardly funny. It is very dangerous and no one is laughing about this.

The Northern Virginia socialite was being taped by a production crew for Bravo cable channel's forthcoming "The Real Housewives of Washington."

"It was a lot of schmoozing with the staff," James Packard-Gomez, CEO of Erwin Gomez Salon, said Thursday, explaining why the hair and makeup session lasted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The salon was abuzz because Michaele and her husband, Tareq, were among the 320 VIPs invited to join the president and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. "They were asking, 'So, what do you think of them getting invited to this?' "

The stylist doing Michaele's hair asked to see the White House invitation, Packard-Gomez said. "She starts rummaging through her purse, and then said, 'It must be out in the car.' "

Would the film crews get into the White House, too? " 'We tried,' " he says she told them, " 'but they wouldn't let them in.' "

This couple, Michaele and Tareq Salahi are part of the new Bravo series, "Real Housewives of D.C. or Washington". Again, this would be all fine and dandy for SOMEONE ELSE, but not the President of the United States. The Secret Service is not a secret by letting this couple, who was not on the list of attendees, to actually bypass their procedures and security to actually meet and greet the President of the United States and the Vice President of the United States. This takes me back to the President Bush "shoe incident" in Iraq. Though this was funny, for me the first thought was, "Where is the Secret Service?"

This coming from an agency that has stated it is overwhelmed at the increase of death threats against President Obama and his family, an increase of 400%. The highest for any sitting U.S. President. And now this? If this agency needs increase of funds, give to them. If this agency needs to hire new personnel, allow them to do so. An incident like this should never happen again, a total embarrassment.

Yes, the Secret Service is embarrassed.

Sullivan said that “the preliminary findings of our internal investigation have determined established protocols were not followed at an initial checkpoint, verifying that two individuals were on the guest list.

“Although these individuals went through magnetometers and other levels of screening, they should have been prohibited from entering the event entirely. That failing is ours,” he said.

Sullivan said it wasn’t good enough that his agency screened more than 1.2 million visitors last year to the White House complex and protected more than 10,000 sites for the president, vice president and others.

“Even with these successes, we need to be right 100 percent of the time,” he said. “While we have protocols in place to address these situations, we must ensure that they are followed each and every time.”

It is unclear what the couple told officers at the checkpoint that allowed them to go through the security screening. Federal law makes it a crime to knowingly and willfully falsify statements on matters within the federal government’s jurisdiction.

Lastly, the White House released a statement that the Obama Family will not spend the Christmas Holiday in Chicago. After this, I am not surprised, as the Obamas live in the heart of the City of Chicago, under urban dwelling and for the Secret Service it just may be too much of a stretch to protect the family when homes are so close to one another.

Police in New Jersey are trying to determine who fired a bullet that struck CNN commentator Lou Dobbs’ home as his wife stood nearby.

State police Sgt. Stephen Jones says Dobbs’ wife and driver were outside the home Oct. 5 when they heard the gunshot. Jones says the bullet didn’t penetrate the siding and fell to the ground outside.

Secret Service investigating the "Kill Obama Poll" on Facebook

Yeah, if you did not know about it, this is what happened:

A poll was posted on Facebook asking users to vote "should Obama be killed?"

The responses include: "yes," "maybe," "if he cuts my health care," and "no."

I did not participate in the poll, as it was just shocking to be honest, but the responsibility of Facebook needs to be put on blast. I don't know how they monitor their site, but this never should have gotten posted and it seemed like it took FOREVER before Facebook removed the link.

Now the Secret Service:

The U.S. Secret Service is investigating an online survey that asked whether people thought President Barack Obama should be assassinated, officials said Monday. The choices were: No, Maybe, Yes, and Yes if he cuts my health care.

The poll, posted Saturday on Facebook, was taken off the popular social networking site quickly after company officials were alerted to its existence.

A Facebook official said the question was created not by the company but by an independent person using an add-on application that has been suspended from the site.

"The third-party application that enabled an individual user to create the offensive poll was brought to our attention this morning," said Barry Schnitt, Facebook's spokesman for policy.

Because the application was disabled, the responses to the nonscientific polls are not available.

"We're working with the U.S. Secret Service, but they'll need to provide any details of their investigation," Schnitt said.

"We are aware of [the poll], and we will take the appropriate investigative steps," said Darrin Blackford, a Secret Service spokesman. "We take these things seriously."

Some people out here are just dumb. Making any threat, let me repeat, any threat against the President of the United States is taken serious by the Secret Service and immediately investigated. Don't believe me, just read through this. Even if you are joking and many don't find killing someone a joke, your ass will be hauled in for questioning.

Utah man who was on a "mission" to kill Obama is charged

Federal authorities in Utah search for a man who allegedly made threats against President Obama.

Daniel James Murray has been charged with making threats against Obama, after telling a bank teller he was part of a "mission" to kill the president. The Secret Service says Murray has at least eight registered firearms. His whereabouts are unknown.

Murray entered Zion's First National Bank in St. George, Utah, May 19, to open a savings account with an $85,000 check, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court in Salt Lake City today.

Murray allegedly asked if the bank was solvent and then stated, according to the complaint, "With all this mess going on under President Obama with banks and the economy, I'm sure if citizens happen to lose their money, they will rise up and we could see killing and deaths." read more here....

In Case You Missed It: PA paper takes out ad for Obama assassination

I kid you not. My question, "Who was asleep at the wheel on this one?"

A northwestern Pennsylvania newspaper is apologizing for running a classified advertisement calling for the assassination of President Barack Obama.

Warren Times Observer Publisher John Elchert says the ad appeared Thursday. It read, "May Obama follow in the steps of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley and Kennedy!" The four presidents were all assassinated.

Elchert tells The Associated Press that the newspaper's advertising staff didn't make the historical connection.

He says the newspaper turned information over to police and that the Secret Service is investigating the person who placed the ad.

A note in Friday's paper says the newspaper "apologizes for the oversight."

US confirms assassination plot against Obama

I know, we don't like to read this, but it is what it is. We live in a world of crazy folk, here and abroad. Never think al-qaead is not alive and well, THEY ARE.

US authorities confirmed that Turkish police have arrested a man who claims to have plotted to kill US President Barack Obama when he visited Turkey.

The Secret Service in Washington said Monday night that Turkish National Police arrested the man last Friday in Istanbul. Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said the president was never in any immediate danger, as Obama arrived in Turkey on Sunday, two days after the man's arrest.

As standard procedure involving a threat against the president overseas, the Secret Service is following up with Turkish authorities regarding the case and is not releasing any information about the suspect, Donovan said.

On Monday, the Saudi daily Al Watan reportedm that Turkish security services has arrested a man of Syrian descent who was planning to assassinate Obama during his trip to Turkey.

According to the report, the man, who was arrested on Friday, was carrying a press card identifying him as an employee of Al Jazeera. He reportedly confessed to his intention to stab Obama with a knife and said that he was aided by three accomplices.

The report stated that Turkish authorities were still unsure as to whether the press card was a fake or whether it had actually been issued the man by the Qatari news network.

Al-Jazeera's Ankara bureau chief, Yussef al-Sharif, told the paper that news of the suspected assassination plot had come as an utter surprise to the network's staff in Turkey, adding that all of Al-Jazeera's employees in the country claimed that they were not acquainted with the suspect.

Sharif said that the ID card had "most certainly" been forged.

He said that Turkish authorities knew all of the employees of Al-Jazeera's Ankara offices.

The official, who is close to police operations in Turkey, said police detained the suspect — a Turkish national — on Friday after receiving an anonymous e-mail which even gave the suspect's address in Istanbul. He spoke on condition of anonymity because of rules that bar civil servants from speaking to the media without prior authorization.

"There was nothing serious. Police released the man and said he was mentally disturbed," the official said. "The tip turned out to be a hoax. The IP address from which the e-mail was sent was traced to the United States."

U.S. Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said Monday the president was never in any immediate danger. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, who was with Obama in Istanbul on Tuesday, declined to comment on the incident.

Obama did not arrive in Turkey until Sunday, two days after the man's arrest.

"There was no threat to Obama's life," the Turkish official said. "But the police naturally took such a tip seriously."

An Ethiopian refugee from Chicago's North Side is in federal custody for allegedly mailing an envelope containing his own HIV-infected blood to then-President-elect Barack Obama, authorities said today.

Saad Hussein, 27, of the Edgewater area, is accused of sending "nonmailable articles" containing HIV-infected blood, according to a criminal complaint.

Two similar envelopes were sent with Hussein's name on them, including one to then-U.S. Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.), who now serves as Obama's chief of staff, according to federal court records. Hussein has denied sending the letters, the records stated.

The envelope to Obama was the second time the U.S. Postal Inspection Service has investigated a mailing containing HIV-infected blood, but the "two were isolated incidents," said Postal Inspector Pete Rendina. He said the previous case occurred in 2006 and did not involve a high-profile person.

On Dec. 29, a letter postmarked for Dec. 27 and addressed to Obama was received by an office in the Illinois Department of Revenue building in Springfield, according to federal documents, and was found to contain unknown substances. The letter, which contained Hussein's return address, prompted a hazardous materials response to the building, which was also put on lockdown for almost two hours.

That same day, Chicago police went to Hussein's residence on the North Side. After taking Hussein and his brother into custody, they were interviewed by FBI and U.S. Secret Service agents.

During the interview, in which his brother served as his interpreter, Hussein said "he had mailed the letter to [Barack] Obama, and he had placed inside the envelope a powder substance, his [HIV positive] blood, a photograph of himself taken in Bali, Ethiopia, an admission ticket to the election night celebration in Grant Park and other articles," according to court records.

Hussein confirmed to the agents that the photos they obtained from the envelope were the same ones he mailed, the records show.

Although Hussein claimed to be an admirer of Obama's and tried to obtain tickets to his Jan. 20 inauguration, he said he "purposely cut one of his fingers with a razor so he could bleed on the letter," the records show. They also show Hussein stated he has HIV-positive and "it was his way of seeking help from the government."

Crazy Man Threatens President Barack Obama

I don't like writing things like this for ANY PRESIDENT, but we live in real time with real live nut cases walking around here.

Johnnie Galarza was accused of threatening to shoot President Obama soon after the election. Yesterday, officials in U.S. District Court in Omaha said the charge will be dismissed if Galarza undergoes psychiatric rehabilitation. Fifty-five-year-old Galarza had openly talked about how to shoot Obama during a therapy session. The remarks were reported to authorities by his Department of Veterans Affairs counselor. Galarza says he has been suffering from depression and post-traumatic stress from his days as an Army combat sniper. Galarza is not considered to be a dangerous person, according to an analysis from his therapist.

And I'll need a leak in the secret service to get a close up shot, somewhere close to the podium, since I've never fired a gun, so I need to get an easy shot off. Wattdysay fellas? Any help?

ATF Discovers Skinhead Plot to Assassinate Barack Obama

Federal agents have broken up a plot by two neo-Nazi skinheads to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate 102 black people, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives said Monday.

In court records unsealed Monday in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Tenn., federal agents said they disrupted plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school in a murder spree that was to begin in Tennessee. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.

Obama says Clinton "stirring up" Florida controversy

Democrat Barack Obama accused rival Hillary Clinton on Saturday of "stirring up" a controversy over the disqualified Florida primary election because it was her last hope of winning their party's presidential nomination.

Obama, an Illinois senator, is leading Clinton, a New York senator, in delegates needed to win the Democratic nomination to face Republican John McCain in the November election. The delegates are awarded in state nominating contests that kicked off in January.

Florida's and Michigan's delegates were stripped of their rights to be seated at the party's August convention -- when the nominee is formally chosen -- because their contests were held too early in the year, in breach of party rules.

Clinton, who won both contests, has long argued the delegates should be seated and awarded based on the popular vote. She made a trip to Florida this week to press her case.

"The Clinton campaign has been stirring this up for fairly transparent reasons," Obama told reporters on the plane from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Chicago, adding she had not done so earlier in the race when she did not need the delegates to win. continue

Obama, McCain camp trade barbs over issue of lobbyists

As John McCain hammers Barack Obama daily on his willingness to talk to leaders of objectionable regimes, Obama is hitting back on McCain and lobbyists in the upper reaches of his campaign.

"We need a president who sees the government not as a tool to enrich friends and high-priced lobbyists, but as the defender of fairness and opportunity for every American," Obama said at a rally yesterday in Tampa.

He said that McCain proposed a bill a decade ago to ban a candidate from paying registered lobbyists, but now has "hired some of the biggest lobbyists in Washington to run his campaign."

"And when he was called on it, his top lobbyists actually had the nerve to say, 'The American people won't care about this.' Well, I think the American people do care about it and I know they have a clear choice in this election," Obama continued. continue

Of course, the blogosphere weighed in. Jack and Jill was snappin’ off. Per BarbinMD, she has a list of bloggers who threw in the towel for Hillary. Delaware Dem just said, “Get Out." teresahill made me visualize ”sharpshooters on the roof.” clammyc said, "It's over, folks". A kind reminder by teacherken. And it was foxsucks81 who ran away with the headline and yours truly had input.

Of course, the mainstream media had its say. davidkc was nice to give us a full roundup and Keith Olbermann’s Special Comment after viewing, I thought he was about to explode through my teevee set. for real. Finally, the Sunday "Punditry" over at Meet the Press weighed in.

I don’t know about you, but the word assassination does not sit well with me. Especially presidential or inspiring/famous folk assassinations. For the simple fact that many of us remember it, or remember our parents crying about it, or remember our school teachers/nuns weeping about it, or just have viewed video of it. So, assassination is not far from anyone’s memories, including some of our greatest inspiring, influential leaders being permanently silenced by a bullet. The word is terrifying.

I believe in two aspects of the American public. I believe that they are genuinely sincere and trustworthy and that there are genuine mental nutcases running around here. Hillary opened the door for the latter, not the former.

Many are worried and have been from the conception of an Obama Presidential run. It is warranted. But I am a firm believer in the United States Secret Service and that they will more than do their job. Folks, believe me, they are on it.

Lastly, it takes a presidential nominee in a presidential stance to not pile on, be gracious and thought provoking towards Clinton, especially when Hillary Rodham Clinton has not publicly apologized to the Obama Family and have made these statements previously.

“I have learned that when you are campaigning for as many months as Senator Clinton and I have been campaigning, sometimes you get careless in terms of the statements that you make and I think that is what happened here,” Mr. Obama said. “Senator Clinton says that she did not intend any offense by it and I will take her at her word on that.”

That person is our Presumptive Democratic Nominee, Barack Obama.

We are lucky to have him.

Hillary Raising Assassination Issue Against Barack Obama

Now Hillary Clinton has invoked the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy as a reason to stay in the race against Barack Obama. This is beyond the pale, there is NOTHING funny or tongue worthy to invoke any assassination attempt or thought at all. Hillary Clinton should be ashamed of herself.

Really, what is next coming from her? Now playing the fear card? And don't forget Huckabee joking about a potential assassination of Obama. NOT FUNNY AT ALL, FOLKS.

Hillary Clinton today brought up the assassination of Sen. Robert Kennedy while defending her decision to stay in the race against Barack Obama.

"My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it," she said, dismissing calls to drop out.
