President Obama asks voters to comeback or continue to VOTE Democrat (Video)

If you think that people are not angry out here, they are. Many are angry about Obama selling out the public option and we KNOW HE DID, handling of torture, the weak financial regulatory coming, DADT, immigration reform and NO CREATION OF JOBS.

Barack Obama never understood that many people, many first time voters worked their asses off to work to get him in office. The anger out here is real, not fake real. I am not talking about teabaggers, they would never vote Obama period, I am talking young folk, African Americans, Latinos, Independents.

Many feel he has not fought for them and has just negotiate everything away. For the Democrats to think they don't have a problem, think again. You do. The poll numbers says it all and not one poll, just look at pollster.com.

And to ASK people to come back, says it all. As I have written, Democrats who vote will vote, it is all the other people that put Democrats in office those are the ones you NEED TO VOTE.

Remember, the one with the juice, excitement is usually the one who wins.

DNC calls for an end to Superdelegates

A commission of Democratic leaders on Wednesday recommended their party virtually eliminate superdelegates from their presidential candidate nomination process.

Their proposal -- commissioned by the Democratic National Committee in the aftermath of last year's tough primary season -- would essentially make the "superdelegate" post an honorary position.

Consequently, these powerful party leaders could no longer select the candidate of their choice; rather, their votes would be tied to the outcome of their respective states' primaries, which choose winners by popular vote. - The Hill

Superdelegates should not be given the power to over through elections, caucuses because that is what it came down to in the 2008 Democratic Primaries. The courting to these people was ridiculous and this part of the process should be eliminated.

Big donors pull out of DNC fundraiser

It is all about the language of the DOMA ( Defense of Marriage Act) brief filed by the Department of Justice. Frankly, I don't blame the Gay and LGBT communities being angry about a lot of things, especially the wording of that hideous brief. This is a community that has supported Barack Obama through some tough times and took it from him. This brief was a HUGE MISTAKE and may cost the DNC down the road. Obama Administration needs to not only clean it up but FIX it and make it RIGHT with the LBGT community.

Two prominent gay figures, activist David Mixner and widely read blogger Andy Towle, have pulled out of a Democratic National Committee fundraiser later this month amid growing calls to confront the administration at what was supposed to be its first large scale opportunity to bring in gay cash.

"I will not attend a fundraiser for the National Democratic Party in Washington next week when the current administration is responsible for these kind of actions," Mixner wrote of a motion to dismiss a challenge to the Defense of Marriage Act that drew a parallel between same-sex marriage to incestuous marriage. "How will they ever take us seriously if we keep forking out money while they harm us. For now on, my money is going to battles within the community such as the fight in Maine or the March on Washington! I am so tired of being told by Democratic operatives to 'suck it up' because so many other profound issues are at stake," Mixner wrote.

"I've had concerns about the lack of movement from the administration on LGBT issues for some time now but I wasn't comfortable attending after that DOMA brief came out," Towle, who writes the widely read Towle Road blog, said in an e-mail.

Pressure escalating in Minnesota, "SEAT FRANKEN"

Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) has an uphill battle. He is between a rock and a hard place. How?

He is a glowing new or semi-new face in the Republican Party. He has pressure from his party to keep his boot on Franken's neck and not sign the certificate to seat him in the senate. This pressure from the GOP will continue, even if the Minnesota Supreme Court sides with Franken on the win for the senate seat against Norm Coleman.

If Pawlenty does not sign the certificate, he is playing politics, clear and simple. He is going against the will of the people in his state and he is allowing this to drag on. If Pawlenty does this, bad move.

We all know that Al Franken won this seat, in a mandatory recount because the vote total was too close. During the recount and every court appeal, Franken has come out ahead and he is stil 300+ votes to the north. It is over for Coleman.

And Coleman? The polls are out and the people of Minnesota want this over with and Coleman to concede. If Coleman does not, he can forget any other political aspirations in Minnesota. He will be forever remembered as the grumpy, sourpuss, sore loser who dragged a senate race to the courts, knowing he did not have the votes and knowing he LOST.

So, what will Pawlenty do? I hope the right thing.

DNC Chairman Tim Kaine penned a letter to Tim Pawlenty on Tuesday, asking the Minnesota Governor to persuade Norm Coleman to concede and, short of that, sign the certification of Al Franken's election once the state's Supreme Court makes its final ruling.

The letter is the latest in a growing effort to ramp up the pressure on the governor - and Republican Party as a whole - to seat Franken, as the Minnesota Senate race drags on more than six months since the actual election. In his note, Kaine claims it is "all but indisputable" that Franken won the election and urges Pawlenty to "use [his] influence to bring this process to an end by asking Norm Coleman to allow his neighbors and yours, their full representation in Congress."

"However," Kaine adds, "if Mr. Coleman refuses to concede and this case is heard and decided by the Minnesota State Supreme Court, I urge you to commit to signing an election certificate for the rightful winner as soon as the Court issues a ruling in this case. To allow this to process to continue into the federal courts for no other reason than to deny for as long as possible the seating of another Democratic Senator would make what has been a bad situation for Minnesotans even worse. I urge you to do everything within your power and influence to bring this process to an end." read more here....

700 people opened their wallets in Indiana at Obama Fundraiser

They opened up the wallets for Obama and the Democrats.

In fact, about 700 friends opened their billfolds Sunday night to support Democrats as Obama made his first post-election visit to the Circle City.

His quick tour of the Westin hotel Downtown lasted less than half an hour, but the president managed to reel in hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign cash for the Democratic National Committee and four incumbents in Congress. The precise amount raised was not immediately available.

After leaping onto a ballroom stage in front of 650 people who dined on honey chicken breasts, cheesecake and champagne orzo, Obama proclaimed, "It's good to be back in Indiana."

Flanked on stage by Reps. Andre Carson, Joe Donnelly, Brad Ellsworth and Baron Hill, Obama said he needed Indiana voters to re-elect their Democratic incumbents so he can continue to push his agenda of change.

"I can't rebuild our economy, reform our health-care and education system and preserve our environment and keep our nation safe if I'm all alone in the Oval Office," he said. "I need partners in Congress, people who are going to work hard every day to move this country forward."

About 650 people paid between $250 and $5,000 to hear Obama's 15-minute speech and support the four congressmen.

Then he spent some time with couples that paid $15,000 for the DNC.

"The people of Minnesota have spoken. It's time for Norm Coleman to accept the voters' decision, do what is best for his state and country and stop standing in the way of a Senator being seated. The stakes for our country are too high right now to suggest that the results of a democratic election, exhaustive recount, and legal proceedings be thrown out just because Norm Coleman doesn't like the results."
