Date Night for the Obamas: NYC, Broadway with RNC Hate (Pictures)

Well, all is negative in Republican Land.

They are now criticizing the Obamas for going to NYC, to Broadway for dinner and a show. The dastardly, nasty beasts. They don't understand that the Obamas have downsized everything and not taking the famous 747 jet. Oh, well when you are in the dumps, you jump on anything and hopes that it sticks. And the Obamas dined at the Blue Hill restaurant in Greenwich Village.

The Obamas dined at the Blue Hill restaurant near Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, according to White House spokesman Josh Earnest.

h/t Escapade And full hit piece by RNC, here.
Well, you can say the Obamas are at least trying to keep the costs down. They downsized the transportation opting not to take the normal Air Force One 747.

It’s not like they took the $10 Fung Wah Bus either though. They just hopped on a smaller plane. Although it is still called Air Force One, it’s just part of the fleet.

The plane they took this afternoon is an Air Force Gulfstream V (C-37A) — a 12 passenger aircraft. (H/T Mark Knoller). And there are no plans to circle the Statue of Liberty.

I don't understand the RNC hate. The Obamas are a young couple and like to get OUT OF THE BUBBLE. They were not like the Bushs who practically went NO WHERE. And the country likes to see their president out and about with the missus.

Again, when you have no new ideas and running around in circles after your own tail, what else can you expect? Closing on a postive note, Al Rodgers pictures, enjoy!!

I love the pictures and the video!!!!! I feel like I'm right there with them. It's so nice to see them getting away to do something fun. They both deserve it!!! He works all the time and she has continued to support him and to spend time emphasizing her interest in the people and activities taking place in Washington. She is definitely a working first lady. She is amazing in so many ways. I continue to be a part of their admiration society and I love having an opportunity to follow their exciting life on forums like this...Keep up the great work.
To those who criticize, give them a break.
I'm not mad that he went to a play in New York. But what really bothers me is that he didn't wear a tie! How dare he! Who does he think he is, one of us?

(Just joking folks - I REALLY love the guy because he's so cool about everything and it gives me hope that we will get out of this mess bush left us in)
