Great job, Joe. I can't say enough about how disappointing their convention was and how depressing it was to hear nothing from them but the same fear-mongering rhetoric that put G.W. Bush in office! God Speed! Obama/Biden '08

I'm about as moderate as they come - I think both parties have some good things, and I think both parties are flawed. But being as objective as possibly, I didn't even feel a whimper of inspiration from the Republican convention. I might've chuckled a few times - Palin knows how to deliver a punch line from a speech on a teleprompter!! But that was about it.

Obama is not perfect - but at least he inspires, and at least he's wanting to do something different than the status quo.
The idea of Sarah Palin on the Republican ticket reminds me a lot of how the Iraq "war"/occupation began ... Bush put the idea in people's minds that the invasion was the right thing to do, that there were weapons of mass destruction - trust him, trust his intelligence that he had. And what happened - the truth came out - no WOMD, they hid everything to paint just the perfect picture to convince most people that it was the right thing to do. And when the truth was told the Republicans came up with excuses to try and justify it all.

So now here we have Sarah Palin - looks great, sounds great, gives a great speech (I'm sorry READS a great speech that someone else wrote), delivers punches, riles up the base of the party ... but there are questions about her. The vetting process was flawed and not thorough (like the Iraq intelligence) and when her background and experience are questioned it's sexist. The McCain camp is shielding her from the press because she needs to be trained on how to spin her own stories (hiding information like with Iraq) and if some of her claims are proven false - which I'm sure much will be - it will be spun to say "Well, but Barack Obama has done nothing ..." turning the conversation on something else rather than answer the real question.

The Republicans are trying to scare everyone all over again like they did in 2004 - don't fall for the banana in the tailpipe (Beverly Hills Cop reference) - Barack is the change.

Isn't it funny how everyone keeps trying to copy what Barack has been saying and doing for the last 19 months, even when he ran for Senate his campaign slogan was "Change" and "Yes We Can" - he's the most authentic. We need him America!!! Don't be fooled by McBush

The RNC invoked fear in the people and had the nerve to tribulize 911!!!!!!! I am completely, and utterly sickened by the RNC and their low ball B.S. Cindy McCain walks 10-20 feet behind her disrespecting husband, McCain. Then she shows up to the convention wearing a $300,000 DRESS!!!!!!! That people, is a spit in the face to us, who stuggle to make it in our failing economy and lack of healthcare for those who cannot afford it!!!!!
