Listening to the cable desk clerks, the Fort Hood shooter is dead, but guess what, he is NOT (Video)

Again, the media gets it WRONG.

From TWD:

The Fort Hood lead suspect and shooter today, Malik Hasan, after reports of his death, is not dead reportedly.....That news has been broken .

And a major question is the fact that where are the other shooters at, because they are still on the loose from what reports are indicated.

In addition, the individual who shot Hasan, she was badly wounded but is alive as well.

More details to come in this stunning development in this shocking and sad day.

Again, brave soldiers at Fort Hood and shout out the lady soldier who stopped Hasan. She is my she-ro, for real.

Horrible shooting at Ft. Hood, Waco, Texas, at least 12 dead and 31 injured

We are talking about soldiers and at least one civilian police officer, setting it off, at the Ft. Hood Army Base. The big question...why?

At least one U.S. soldier opened fire Thursday at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 12 people and wounding 31 others, military officials said.

One gunman was shot to death, and two other soldiers were in custody, Lt. Gen. Bob Cone told reporters. It was not immediately known whether the victims were all soldiers or civilians, but Cone said at least one of those killed was a civilian police officer and NBC affiliate KCEN-TV of Waco reported that at least four SWAT officers were among those wounded.

Fort Hood, one of the largest military complexes in the world, was on lockdown, as were schools in the area.

Cone gave no further details on the dead gunman. A senior administration official told NBC News analyst Roger Cressey that one of the suspects who was in custody was an Army major.

The official said the shootings could have been a criminal matter rather than a terrorism-related attack and that there was no intelligence to suggest a plot against Fort Hood. read more here....

Bill Moyers calls for draft if President Obama escalates the troops in Afghanistan (Video)

The reality is that we are not going to win in Afghanistan without MORE PEOPLE. As long as Obama continues to do what George W. Bush did, rinse and repeating the reserves in this country, he is no better than George W. Bush.

We have been over there for 8 years, and please don't tell me that we did not have a plan, I know that, but the fact and reality is that 8 years is 8 years. Does anyone think 40,000 troops are going to help over there? I don't. We need about half million to make any type of dent, but don't have the numbers.

What will Barack Obama do? Work for peace? Or continue the beating drums of a war we will NEVER WIN.

Liz Cheney states President Obama honored fallen soilders for publicity

Yes, Dick's daughter has the nerve to state this. Funny, you don't hear a critical PEEP on Capitol Hill by the Republicans and you won't.

The Bush Administration darkened what the public could see, that is the return of the dead. Neither President Bush or Vice-President Cheney ever went to Dover to greet the return of our fallen soilders as Barack Obama, if they did it surely was not recorded.

Lastly, President Obama not only participated in the ceremony but talked to the families of the fallen soilders well into the morning. That is more than what George W. Bush or Dick Cheney has ever done and Lizzy got the nerve to criticize?

PUHLEAZE with that noise.

Liz Cheney called out President Obama for his early-morning trip to honor fallen soldiers arriving at Dover Air Force Base yesterday, suggesting President Bush honored America's heroes with a bit more class than his successor.

Cheney, on Fox News Radio's John Gibson Show yesterday:

"I think that what President Bush used to do is do it without the cameras. And I don't understand sort of showing up with the White House Press Pool with photographers and asking family members if you can take pictures. That's really hard for me to get my head around...It was a surprising way for the president to choose to do this."

Sometimes it is nice to know that your President actually cares and you know it by seeing it. To criticize our Commander-in-Chief is outrageous and over the line, but what more should we expect from Lizzie Cheney.

President Obama honors the return of fallen soilders (Videos)

This is what war is about, unfortunately. We never saw President Bush do this the whole time he was Commander in Chief of both Afghanistan or Iraq, not publicly.

President Barack Obama spent Thursday morning honoring the return of fallen soldiers. Obama attended a solemn movement at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

WTF!!! U.S. troops vomiting due to lack of clean water in Iraq

No joke. h/t Turkana @ Daily Kos

Despite the might of your own country, despite the power of your own military, for extended periods of time you and other soldiers simply can’t get enough drinking water. And even worse, some of you are paying for it with your health.

That’s the story some U.S. soldiers are telling the 11 News Defenders about their time in Iraq. While we’ve spent billions on bullets and bombs, soldiers in different parts of that arid country, during different phases of this desert war, claim they couldn’t get enough drinkable water.

[snip]

Part of the problem: Many soldiers say they were rationed to just two 1.5 liter bottles a day or about half a gallon of water. Turns out, the Army’s own training manuals say in desert environments, the body can lose up to four gallons a day.

As a result, some soldiers claim they regularly saw dehydration causing sickness on the battlefield, things like fainting and vomiting.

Obama, we know that the Bush Administration neglected the troops, we know that, now please clean this up.

U.S. Soilder kills 5 of his comrades, now in custody

This story is as sad as it comes.

US military says 5 US soldiers killed in shooting at American base in Baghdad; Shooter Is Now in Custody.

Five U.S. soldiers were killed Monday in a shooting at an American base in Baghdad, the U.S. command said.

A brief U.S. statement said the shooting occurred about 2 p.m. at Camp Liberty near Baghdad International Airport but gave no further details on the attack.

The toll was the highest for U.S. personnel in a single attack since April 10, when a suicide truck driver killed five American soldiers with a blast near a police headquarters in the northern city of Mosul.

On May 2, two American soldiers died after an attacker wearing an Iraqi army uniform opened fire near the northern city of Mosul. The assailant was also killed.
