I am a 24 year old married outraged american. A true american that loves her country very much, but is absolutely ashamed of what it is coming to. I just happen to be from the great state of Texas...hmm..remember Texas? Big state in the south that just had a horrific act of TERRORISM...an islamic fanatic walked into the biggest Army base in the U.S. and killed 13 and wounded 29 of our brave men and women and whats all over the news? Healthcare Reform Bill? Now thats a horrific tragedy itself...quoting what the ole commander in chief had to say about Ft. Hood. Oh yes after giving a shout out to a member in his audience. Absolutely makes me sick. Why does everybody in america try to be so politically correct? Just say it...TERRORISM and do something about it.

The man WAS an American soldier (was not because he's dead but because he longer deserve that distinction). Yes, he was Islamic in his religion but he was born and raised in the United States, which made him a home grown terrorist like Timothy McVeigh. He was also a Major in the United States Army, so he did not walk into the base, he works there. Do you know how many time that the army had to promote him in order for him to reach Major status? So what we have is a home grown American terrorist and workplace violence.
The only reason why he was an major was due to his education...that was the sole reason why he was promoted...how was his education paid for? By the government...by the army. Workplace violence? seriously? Is that why he screamed out "Allahu Akbar!" God is great in islam..the same as the terrorist that took down our towers and our planes full of innocent men and women. Oh but how soon do we forget about what happened...do not make him out to be some patriot that earned his way through the army. And yes i know that he works at the base Lilly thanks for pointing that out. But go ahead with the rest make him out to be some poor 'American' soldier with mental problems instead of calling it like it is.
ically,

you are trippin. the man was a citizen of this country, born in VIRGINIA. it was not a terrorist attack but the excuse was USED because he did not want to fulfill his contract to the army by going to Afghanistan and serving the troops there. ft hood has been all over the news, but eventually it DIES DOWN. now of course, YOU would want it to be on going if what you are writing is TRUE, but guess what it is not. next take your racial talk somewhere else, just because the man does not look like you does not mean he is not American when, of course he is born and bred HERE. and take your terrorism talk to the fox news blogs, that is the only card the republicans ever used to the hilt and the reason why the two wars are actually FUCKED UP.

and a true american, please, i surely doubt that.
Icebergslim, I don't know if we should take your opinion seriously because we need to know first, are you a white American Republican because they are the ONLY true Americans out there. LOL Everyone else is un-American and not a true Patriot because they don't love this great country of ours like a true Repub, at least according to Faux News.

Anyway ically, your opinions would carry more weight without spreading Faux News racist propaganda. What the man did was reprehensible and I see him for the sick SOB he really is and is as upset as any other AMERICAN for the sheer heinous act perpetrated by this coward on our brave soldiers.
I am running a blog titled "This Week With Barack Obama" and if you read much content, though some may be critical, it is pro-Obama. And I am an African-American, but no matter what color that should not matter neither.
I was being sarcastic. I'm sorry you did not get the joke. That's why I put LOL for laughing out loud. I was agreeing with you and having fun with ically extremes views that she's getting from Fox News. You know only a white republican can truly be patriotic and the rest of us are really un-American. I'm also African-American but 1st generation. Both of my parents are from Senegal, Africa so I'm really 1st generation so most Republicans would not consider me a true American even though I was born in Miami, Florida. Sorry again my humor did not come across in writing.
Thank you President Obama for making history. Now lets keep fighting for a strong public option in the bill that President Obama will sign. Call your Senators. ically, there's button on your remote or tv that says OFF. Nobody is forcing you to follow the top news of the day. You have a choice so use that option and turn it off. If it's on the internet, don't go to the web site. It's quite simple really.
Well well emma...turn off my t.v.? Don't get on the internet? Why so i can be as uneducated as you? Thats right nobody is forcing me to keep up with the news...as a concerned patriot i do it all on my own. Turn off the news? Baffles me...so in other words turn my back on the innocent and brave men and women that risk their lives for our freedom...just turn it off right. Give me a break I am a true patriotic AMERICAN that gets down right pissed off when everybody including Obama ignores the fact that this happened in our country on American soil. That their own selfish agenda was handled first and this act of TERRORISM was put on the back burner. You go ahead Emma you turn off your t.v. Turn your back. As for me i will stay educated on a daily basis as to what happens in my country.
Yes ically like a good rethug talk about the Islamic soldier 24/7. Only in Obama's America that would happen, no? Let's forget about health care for the millions of uninsured, the thousands of poor people dying every year because they can't see a doctor. Let's not talk about the historic legislation. As good PATRIOTIC AMERICANS lets all be doom and gloom.
