    Another "greatest speech ever" in an increasingly large volume of such. A great statement of the purpose of government, and how important it is to us right now. This should be broadcast in every high school civics class or whatever they call it now if they have it. You can see that the effort here, that I feel, others don't apparently, is to inspire us beyond the same old ideology. This is an exceptional person not compromising on efforts to make us all more exceptional. Michael could raise everbody's game, so can Barack. Let's get off the bench and into the game.__

    Mike,YOU are correct! Oh! how I wish those repubs would take a few minutes to really listen to Brarack. Why, to diagree with this speech, is to disgree with Lincoln himself!! We all need to pray for our president consistantly!! And for his enimies--they are obvious...

    The written copy provided by the White House did not include the quip (ad lib?) about the Commerce secretary. If it was truly an ad lib, it was a great ad lib.

    I agree, I really love President Obama's sense of humor. I could listen to him speak all day. It is so refreshing to have a President with intelligence.
