More Republican Asshattery, this time from Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY), Audio

Man, when you are on a roll like Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), you just continue to show your true colors or ignorance.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had surgery for pancreatic cancer. No human would wish this on anyone or a family to endure, but the total lack of empathy from Senator Jim Bunning is just a stunner.

U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning predicted over the weekend that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would likely be dead from pancreatic cancer within nine months.

During a wide-ranging 30-minute speech on Saturday at the Hardin County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner, Bunning said he supports conservative judges "and that's going to be in place very shortly because Ruth Bader Ginsburg … has cancer."

"Bad cancer. The kind that you don't get better from," he told a crowd of about 100 at the old State Theater.

I mean how much better can this get? To predict a person dead within a timeline so you can increase or keep the court conservative? Did Bunning not get the November 4th election results? Bad cancer, one you don't recover from? How horrible does this not only read but makes Bunning look? Kentucky is this what you must endure? Total asshattery from this supposedly senate statesman?

This is just speechless. Ignorance is running amuck.

For the record, Justice Ginsburg is back at work today.

Bunning issued an apology.

"I apologize if my comments offended Justice Ginsburg," said Bunning. "That certainly was not my intent. It is great to see her back at the Supreme Court today and I hope she recovers quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family."
