Sotomayor picks up the support of Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC)

We all have been trying to tell the Republicans that "elections matter", meaning when you won like Barack Obama and the Democrats did, you have a MANDATE. Well, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) got the message and will vote to confirm Judge Sonia Sotomayor.

But Graham stood out when he said that presidents deserve deference on their choices for the court. He said as much Wednesday.

"I would not have chosen her if I had made this choice as president, but I understand why President Obama did," Graham said. "Elections matter."

The Republicans botched the confirmation of Judge Sonia Sotomayor up pretty badly. Instead of showing any leadership, the D.C. Republicans let the likes of Pat Buchanan, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh who are supporters of their party call her every name in the book but the Mother of Jesus Christ. The Republican Party let all that nastiness, race bating, racist and bigoted remarks towards Judge Sonia Sotomayor linger out there that by the time questioning came around, it was relatively timid.

Don't think that the Latino community will not forget what came out of these right winged extremists mouths, they will remember. The Latino vote was critical in 2008 and the Republican Party lost is 2-1. Their performance and language during this process will only confirm that the door to the Latino community will be bolted shut for a very long time.

Judge Sonia Sotomayor will be the next Associate Supreme Court Justice and the first of Hispanic descent. And that is just how it will go down.
