Interesting the question that has hounded me for months, "Is congress scared, afraid of Barack Obama?" Why? Because George W. Bush practically passed everything he wanted and whipped his Republican congress in check to follow suit. This has not happened under Obama, which is why we see a fiasco with the health care insurance bill. More arm twisting would have been suffice to the likes of Nelson, Landrieu, Lincoln, Pryor, Bayh and Lieberman. Instead we have these people halting, stopping progress of this bill, including removing the public option and now about to remove the buy in for Medicare at 55. For me, where are the cost savings for my monthly premiums? It is NON-EXISTENT and thanks to the senate, many who have taken big checks from this industry is why it is so.

Mika Brzezinski's agenda in regards to Henry Gates did not work on morning joe (Video)

Yes, she is on morning joe, and tried to strum up bullshit about the Professor Henry Gates situation. Eventually, it blew up in her face. And Mike Barnicle was in truly Boston style. Harold Ford, Jr. stepped it up here. Got to give him and Carlos Watson a bravo. Mika was out of her element.

Apparently Mika got up this morning with the intent of doing a Rev Wright Coverage as it related to the Professor Gates situation. She seem to be fully on board in wanting to believe what ever Sergeant James Crowley wrote in his report and as equally ready not to believe Professor Gate's account of what took place. Now in my personal feelings, this was a situation that got out of control but Mika and Barnicle had another goal in mind and that was to promote a negative conversation on race that eventually back fired. And thank god for Carlos Watson and even Harold Ford, oh and do not let me forget Eugene Robinson, who seemed to be the most heated by this situation but the person who really seemed to silence Mika and Barnicle was Dylan Ratigan; who hit Mika with racial profiling facts and statistics that she didn't want to take into account or acknowledge because it would have taken away from the coverage she was trying to promote and before the show was over she appeared to be a beaten woman. She even invited Miami Police Chief Johnt Timoney for back-up but he refused to be pulled into this controversy she was trying to escalate. read more here....

morning joe continues to enable Liz Cheney and her talking points (Video)

The tough questions did not come from morning joke or joe, definitely not from Mika Brzezinski who tip-toed around Liz Cheney without the continuing interruption from loud mouth Joe Scarborough.

The fact is that over time, Liz Cheney has done a damn good job promoting her daddy, helping him secure a huge book deal, kept to her talking points and it was hard for any journalist to pin her down. But the obvious is this, her daddy, former Vice President Dick Cheney deliberately kept a secret counterterrorist program from congress, period. He told the CIA to not say anything and to keep it quiet. Now that is what happened, period. And that was illegal, period.

morning joe performed DISSERVICE to the show and the public by the soft ball questions to Liz Cheney. If Liz Cheney is out there speaking on BEHALF of her daddy, then ask her the questions directly, since she continues to sit up on television like she is an authority on it all. Don't keep letting her slip-slide away with her talking points and not challenge her. To sit and watch journalists, with exception of Eugene Robinson, ask her or point out to her that what her daddy did was illegal, wrong but no one challenge her was a joke.

Mika Brzezinski showed us today what a good journalist, she is not. Again, Rachel Maddow is the most intelligent woman journalist on television, who asks all the questions with no sugar coat. Will Liz Cheney go on that show? I doubt it, because she would not be able to get away with her talking points BULLSHIT.

Leon Panetta the current Director of the CIA, who is a conservative Democrat and straight shooter shut this program down, abruptly, informed congress about this program and said the program was kept secret specifically by former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Mr. Panetta scuttled the program, which would have relied on paramilitary teams, shortly after the C.I.A.’s counterterrorism center recently informed him of its existence. The next day, June 24, he told the two Congressional Intelligence Committees that the plan had been hidden from lawmakers, initially at the instruction of former Vice President Dick Cheney.

There is nothing there for the right to go after Panetta for or about. It is hard to go after someone for simply, telling the truth. Yes, we all hear crickets at this point.

To Mika, I too, like nice intelligent conversation but not what was on television this morning. Eventually, when all the dust is settled, Dick Cheney will have been found to have broken the law. Cheney, who was president to many without the title, took and abused powers far beyond any other president in that position. There is a reason that the law indicates that the CIA is supposed to informed congress of any programs in the open and otherwise, but to run a program for eight years and no one knew a peep about it is just the beginning of the can being opened.

Mika, your responsibility as a journalist is not to make nice with guests, but to be forthcoming with the real questions, nice and otherwise. That did not happen this morning. You had no command over your guest, you could not shut her down, you allowed your guest, Eugene Robinson to be badgered and you call it good, honest intelligent debate? This was another opportunity lost to you, but won for Cheney where she was given a platform with no opposition to, "...make outrageously partisan and inaccurate claims, often without being challenged by her hosts." Yep, that is just the climate that Liz Cheney was given, to clean up her daddy's illegal position on a show that did not have the guts to ask the hard questions without upsetting Lady Liz. Yep, the way Liz Cheney is enabled on morning joe, you would think she was royalty or walked on water.

Lastly, as long as media like morning joe and others, continue to let Lady Liz's talking point of the "Democrats can not be trusted with National Security" go unchecked, how will the truth ever be totally dissected and told to the public? Surely not by allowing enablers of the likes of morning joe to continue. That is a fact.

Mika Brzezinski get real about Sarah Palin (Video)

Let's be real here. When Sarah Palin was announced the VP pick for John McCain many were curious, especially women. What happened is that once the vetting commenced, her view points came out and her lack of knowledge on the issues was exposed, Americans said NO TO PALIN.

Yes, Palin has her hard core followers, but it does not EXPAND outside the Republican base. Mika, you of all people should KNOW that you can not win national elections with those numbers. And Palin's numbers across the board are dismal to the public.

Thank you Willie Geist for giving Ms. Brzezinski an almost rolleye and to REMIND her that there are real Americans in NYC and other cities and suburbs outside of these cities. We have the same challenges as the so-called other REAL AMERICANS that the media continues to try and divide.

MSNBC, What is up with not promoting Carlos Watson?

If you have not watched MSNBC, take a peep at it now.

The channel has new hourly morning personalities, the aesthetics of the channel has changed and that is all good. The look is more slick, sleek, modern, which I like but I have a beef with MSNBC.

The channel is promoting its morning line up, starting with morning joe, then it's Dylan Ratigan and the Morning Meeting, then it is Dr. Nancy Snyderman's show. The problem is that Carlos Watson's hour is totally dissed. I mean like the man and his hour DON'T EXIST on MSNBC. What is that about?

Next, is how MSNBC is advertising the morning line up, VISUALLY. The ads running are Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, with Willie Geist, then Dylan Ratigan and his Morning Meeting, finally it is all about Dr. Nancy. Between Ratigan and Dr. Nancy's show is Carlos Watson and his hour. But there is no advertisement at all for Watson, NONE VISUALLY. How bogus is that?

This is a beef and I don't know if it is intentional but it is clear that what MSNBC is presenting is all their white on-air personalities and their slot times promoted, but not Carlos Watson who is black. Then another beef, Watson was in his slot a few weeks before Ratigan and Dr. Nancy's shows even premiered on air.

MSNBC do the right thing. If you are going to promote your NEW MORNING PERSONALITIES, promote them ALL, not just some. The way this is being presented has a racial bias view to me. Now all these personalities have to sink or swim on their own, but don't pump, push and prod your few picks and not be fair to promote them all.

MSNBC clean it up.

Joe Scarborough don't like the coverage of Sanford by his co-workers last night (Video)

He is talking about Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow!!! Oh, boo-fucking hoo, Joe!!!

Let's be clear here.

Governor Mark Sanford took a RISK. Yes, when you are boffing someone else's wife, when you are cheating on your own wife, when you are LYING to your constituents of your state, when you are performing dereliction of your duties as governor, then you deserve to be TALKED ABOUT and used as a SYMBOL of what NOT TO DO for others coming behind you.

Mark Sanford is a close friend of Joe Scarborough, period. I get it. But this AGAIN shows why Scarborough is not a journalist in the least. Scarborough's friend, Sanford, gave one of the most politically theatrical performances in political history at his press conference yesterday. The performance was filled with passion, emotion, a man in love with a woman who is not his wife, a full script ready to be put into the movies!!! You can not pay for that ANYWHERE. Along with the performance came the love emails, from the governor's email account, filled with passion and love for a woman far, far, away. You can not pay for that writing ANYWHERE!!

Scarborough, it is what it is. Your very close friend took a major risk and he got busted. Along with his bust, his glass house came tumbling down. Scarborough your friend stood on the holier than thow road, he has stood against same-sex marriage, he has pointed his finger at former President Bill Clinton for cheating on his wife and not holding up his marriage vows. Yes, Mark Sanford has done all that.

Scarborough, your friend is a hypocrite. I know you don't like folks talking about your friend, but if your friend had control over his lower head, if your friend had thought about his family FIRST, if your friend had thought about what his office means and the implications of abandoning it on a whim for a woman like Maria, then we all would be talking about health care, Iran, North Korea, energy, etc. Instead, we are talking about the reckless and irresponsibility of your friend, another Republican, who has bit the dust.

Get over it Scarborough. This is journalism and what Sanford did was and is FAIR GAME to criticize. If the heat is too hot in the kitchen, for ya', get the hell out.
