Are we watching a re-run of Caver-in-Chief?

I really hope I am wrong about this but after watching President Barack Obama and pretty much stating he has gone "at least half way", I just don't trust what will come down.

We have seen this show before and it was his lack of leadership and his hunger for that 'bi-partisanship" that turned a lot of people off to him.

Now here we go again. But it takes one of my close friends on this site who told me before the election that, "Barack Obama will be re-elected, state he will protect entitlement programs, but will disappoint and lie in the end."

Well, from what is being floated out here, that individual may not be far from the truth.

::

After all we have been through, watching the richest of all RICH ride the backs of the other 98% in this country, I would think that President Obama needs to understand why he was re-elected.

Why we are putting Social Security on the table, a self-sustaining program, for cuts is not what the public re-elected him for?

After watching the most richest corporations in this country, lie, steal, gouge the public and needed a bail out (yes, the banks and AIG) but gave NOTHING BACK TO THE PUBLIC, is just unconscionable. And the sad part about all this is that these companies has hoarded money while watching this economy with little job growth just demise. This is the ultimate of greediness that anyone has ever witnessed.

We saw little help to Main Street from this administration in regards to the housing market. But we watched the culprits who conned many Americans into the fake housing bubble, walk away with billions from their con-job efforts, with no restitution to the public at all and certainly no PRISON TIME, just makes anyone hate politics. Yes, all of that happened and we watched this administration do nothing to those who destroyed this economy. Well, we heard stern speeches, but accountability? Not from Washington, D.C.

We continue to war on as if it just does not matter in this country, while we see men and women who have had 4, 5, 6 reoccurring theater jumps to Afghanistan, Iraq. And we continue to waste money on an un-winnable war that we don't have, but we want to cut up Social Security? Where is the reason here?

I have paid taxes into Medicare and Social Security since I have been working at 15 years old. Why should these programs be not available to me? Why should I work to 67 or 70 years old to have access to them? I don't understand this.

The last I saw from November 6, 2012 is that President Obama won the election on the platform he ran on and it was not cutting Social Security or decimating Medicare. The last I remember, he won handily and resounding over Mitt Romney, extending the senate for Democrats and picking up house seats. I thought that was a mandate.

Look, at the end of the day, Barack Obama can go mealy-mouth, wishy-washy and end up having many stay at home for 2014, like he did in 2010. Or he can remember who brought him to the dance, who worked for him, who voted for him, who REMEMBERS what the hell he said on the campaign trail.

Cutting these programs are gutting millions who have worked all their lives for this. We are not welfare kings or queens, we fucking worked and paid TAXES for these programs.

If President Obama does this, he will regret it down the road. As will the Democratic Party.

Time for the "LEADER" of this country to start the conversation about gun control

The bottom line is this, "this could have been your child, your grandchild, your godchild, your niece or nephew, your child's best friend", yes this could happen to you and your family.

And the saddest part of all of this is that this country is too crippling and weak to stand up to the special interests because we are afraid to fight. The politicians are afraid to fight while we continue to see citizens of these high profile shootings die for nothing, but to be remembered as being killed at school, a movie theater, the mall. This is what we have reduced ourselves to.

Sadly, what is the point of these politicians, when they continue to cave to the sheer name of the "NRA". They continue to runaway....

It is time for President Barack Obama, the leader of the United States of America, to open the conversation to this country about gun control.

How many times do we have to continue to listen and watch as hundreds, thousands of our citizens being gunned down due to automatic weapons? How many times do we have to listen to the report that it was 50, 60, 75, 100 bullets in one round that gunned down dozens of innocent lives in less than a minute? What will it take to make this a national issue?

I am glad that the President of the United States called these families, and probably is continuing to do so as the numbers are mounting, but he needs to do more. He needs to lead on this issue.

No more, "this is not the time to talk", it is now time to make the time.

No more, going to these repeated memorials when there is nothing on the table about this.

IF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES CAN GET IN AIR FORCE ONE AND TALK ABOUT TAXES, HE CAN DAMN FOR SURE DO THE SAME FOR GUN CONTROL.

MR. PRESIDENT, NOW IS THE TIME.

Sign the petition, now.

Supposedly the following was found at the shooting:

"3 guns found at #Newtown shooting scene: .223 Bushmaster, Glock, Sig-Sauer, police say."

And now the number of dead children is 20.

From Star Jones (and ITA on this one): " Someone is going to have to help me. I've read the Constitution...but I don't see possessing "automatic weapons" as a fundamental right."

1:28 PM PT: Greg Sargent sums it up:

Romney was shocked he lost

Look, the Romney Campaign was wrong on most measures. The Republican Party has a heavy lift going forward. You don't win voters by humiliation, nastiness, and at times sheer bigoted rhetoric.

The climate out hear has changed and the GOP gotta play catch up. More importantly, they have to beg for women, African-Americans, Latinos, young people and gays to give them a chance. And good luck with that one.

Mitt Romney's campaign got its first hint something was wrong on the afternoon of Election Day, when state campaign workers on the ground began reporting huge turnout in areas favorable to President Obama: northeastern Ohio, northern Virginia, central Florida and Miami-Dade.

Then came the early exit polls that also were favorable to the president.

But it wasn't until the polls closed that concern turned into alarm. They expected North Carolina to be called early. It wasn't. They expected Pennsylvania to be up in the air all night; it went early for the President.

After Ohio went for Mr. Obama, it was over, but senior advisers say no one could process it.

"We went into the evening confident we had a good path to victory," said one senior adviser. "I don't think there was one person who saw this coming."

They just couldn't believe they had been so wrong. And maybe they weren't: There was Karl Rove on Fox saying Ohio wasn't settled, so campaign aides decided to wait. They didn't want to have to withdraw their concession, like Al Gore did in 2000, and they thought maybe the suburbs of Columbus and Cincinnati, which hadn't been reported, could make a difference.

But then came Colorado for the president and Florida also was looking tougher than anyone had imagined.

"We just felt, 'where's our path?'" said a senior adviser. "There wasn't one."

Romney then said what they knew: it was over.

His personal assistant, Garrett Jackson, called his counterpart on Mr. Obama's staff, Marvin Nicholson. "Is your boss available?" Jackson asked.

Romney was stoic as he talked the president, an aide said, but his wife Ann cried. Running mate Paul Ryan seemed genuinely shocked, the adviser said. Ryan's wife Janna also was shaken and cried softly.

"There's nothing worse than when you think you're going to win, and you don't," said another adviser. "It was like a sucker punch."

Read it all, here.

8 yr old tells Mitt Romney, "you find something else to cut off", NOT Sesame Street

Talk about a GROUCH!!

Eight-year-old Alabama resident Cecelia Crawford wasn't happy during the debate on Wednesday night when Mitt Romney said he would stop government funding for PBS. On Thursday morning, she was still angry, so she wrote Romney a letter, sent along to The Huffington Post by her mother. Crawford wrote that she is a fan of "Sesame Street" and that it was her "favorite show on earth" when she was younger. "When I grow up I'm going to get married and I want my kids to watch it so do not cut it off," Crawford wrote. "You find something else to cut off!" Romney told PBS host Jim Lehrer, who moderated the presidential debate, that he would stop the subsidy to Lehrer's network. "I’m sorry, Jim, I’m gonna stop the subsidy to PBS ... I like PBS, I love Big Bird -- I actually like you, too -- but I am not going to keep spending money on things [we have] to borrow money from China to pay for," Romney said.

In her letter she stated, "Save Big Bird and his Friends".

New Obama Ad hitting Mitt Romney on lying about taxes during the debate (video)

This is rapid response and a pretty good add, hitting 7 swing states

Full Video of Presidential Debate, October 3, 2012

Mitt Romney did ONE THING last night, saved his money train....

for now.

We all agree that the moderator, Jim Lehrer of PBS was off his game in that job. I, for one, admire Lehrer over the years as a presidential debate moderator but let us be clear, he need not accept that job again.

We all agree, President Obama was not on his game. And I will state this, as mad as I was for him NOT attacking Mitt Romney for lie after lie, he did say a few days ago, "I am not a good debater.."

Mitt Romney is on the money ropes.

Why? I have been asking for over a month why the man was not campaigning, but fundraising. He is down on cash. We all saw this show before. It was after Super Tuesday, 2008 when the Clinton Campaign was flat out of cash by mismanaging their campaign. Hillary Clinton could not even compete and stay on track after Super Tuesday. That campaign totally ignored the caucuses and real ground game that the Obama Campaign put in play for every Democrat to model going forward. And I mean not only ground, but social media as well.

All I wrote above is applicable to the Romney Campaign. The Romney Campaign do not have the funds to compete with the Obama Campaign for the one fundamental thing that is happening now and will happen on election day, the ground game.

Next, The Romney Campaign do not have a deep bench of small donors to keep it afloat. That is a fact. The campaign is depending deeply on the Super Pacs, but I am not convinced that they are even in his corner. That is the thing about Super Pacs, if you are doing a lousy job (as Romney has at campaigning) they don't have to write a 10 million dollar check. So, just call them "fair weather friends".

Next, polls. Look for Romney getting a bump, but not a major one. Why? It is really too late in the game. People have made their minds up on who they are going to vote for, last night was just a production and not a good one at that.

Next, Mitt Romney said a lot of "lying bullshit" last night. In one sentence he stated that he liked parts of Obamacare that he would keep, like the pre-existing conditions clause and the keeping your children on your parents insurance until 26; and then in the same sentence said he was repealing Obamacare. Contradiction much? And the uninsured he stated send them to the emergency room? WTF? Also, towards the end Romney stated he was going to create 12 million jobs. Fine, HOW? WHERE? WHEN? And at whose expense?

Next, no one knows who the real Mitt Romney is. We don't know why he wants to be President. He was every Sybil personality on the stage last night and will gain not much from it. No one walked away knowing this guy at all.

Next, everything Mitt Romney said last night will be hit hard by the Obama Campaign. The campaign will pick apart everything he said and attack it. Watch for the ads coming to your tv soon, swing states!

Lastly, Barack Obama was off his game last night. I don't know if he had other things on his mind (most likely like Libya, etc.) but he is the one who said, "....being president means you can chew gum and do many things at the same time...." That being said, going forward he can not give another performance like last night. He needs to challenge Romney and any moderator not doing their job. He needs to talk to me. He did not talk to the public. He talked to the hall and the moderator but not to me. Obama Debate Team, fix that. The public needs to feel assured that you are speaking to them.

Debates are performances, like watching a play. You listen to the words and look at the performance. At the end you either liked the performance or not. Romney did what he needed to do. Obama was flat.

Folks, Mitt Romney proved to me that he is one of the most dangerous presidential candidates in a while. And this is a reason that many Democrats had their hair on fire, me included, because we know this. Barack Obama, you must do better. And Joe Biden, I expect you to rip Paul Ryan apart next week.

Just my 2 cents, getting ready for work. Have a great day.

Oh, another thing.  Attacking PBS and saying I love Big Bird but he is not giving any more money to PBS?  Do not think that every MOTHER, current and past did not hear that one.  They did.

Romney & Ryan: This is what you get when you threaten Seniors Medicare, Social Security

Evaporation in the poll numbers. Based on new polling by Reuters/Ipsos the 20 point cushion that the Romney and Ryan had is blown.

New polling by Reuters/Ipsos indicates that during the past two weeks - since just after the Democratic National Convention - support for Romney among Americans age 60 and older has crumbled, from a 20-point lead over Democratic President Barack Obama to less than 4 points.

Seriously, many on this site have senior parents, family members, along with being informed seniors, themselves. If there is ONE THING that seniors listen to from any politician is any tinkering with Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid. This is absolutely astounding that the Romney/Ryan campaign can not hear anything about this when it comes to seniors. And having Paul Ryan out at that AARP Convention was a death knell to this campaign. Those seniors resoundingly booed Ryan and many walked out.

Seniors 60+, overall are Romney voters, but when you attack the services they enjoy and want for future generations, you become a magnet for these voters to pull the lever for the other guy.

Romney's selection of Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate put the federal budget and Medicare at center stage in the campaign. But the debate over spending and entitlement programs that Romney seemed to be seeking has not unfolded the way Republicans wanted.

The Romney Campaign really wanted this discussion, well here it is, poll numbers and all.

Full speech from Paul Ryan to the AARP Convention, below:

That roundtable on Meet the Press had me rolling...(VIDEO)

Number one, David Gregory was not in control of that roundtable. Joe Scarborough was. Scarborough talked over EVERYBODY as if this was his lil morning show.

Scarborough went after Bay Buchanan, who tried her level best to defend Mitt Romney and his performance and just got trounced. Not only by Scarborough, but the Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed slammed Romney stating, "the Republicans have a candidate that is defective..." You could hear a PIN drop when he laid it down. Bay tried to interrupt him and he said, "hold up mam, let me speak..."

David Brooks, simply said Romney is a FAKE. He is running a fake campaign that no one believes, even himself (Romney).

Bay Buchanan stated about Romney's 47% comment "...he can't worry about them, he has to worry about the 6%.." Meaning that the campaign is only focued on the invisible 6% of independents that look more democratic each day. Also, Buchanan kept talking about the race tied. It is not. The national polls (remember) is about polling from all 50 states. In that aspect, it is tied or Obama leads a bit. But the electorial college is WON, state by state. That aspect Buchanan did NOT focus on. Here is the remark by Bay Buchanan below in regards to explaining the 47%:

“What he was saying is the 47 percent is going to be voting – this is what it looks like – solid base of the president. Included in those people are people who are going to have a hard time reaching. There’s people who are dependent on government, some believe and feel they’re owed something by government and many of them don’t pay income tax, and my message doesn’t work for them. That’s all he was saying," said Buchancan, who advises the Republican presidential nominee He never said he didn’t care about them, that he wasn’t concerned about them.”

As for Paul Ryan, Joe Scarborough tried his level best to defend his butt getting BOOED by the AARP crowd. Dude, you can't explain that away. The take away from that AARP convention is that the seniors are going to double down and NOT vote Romney/Ryan, period.

Dee Dee Myers was like a cricket.

Finally, this clip opens up with Chuck Todd and the real math, called the state polls. It does not look good for Romney.

2:36 PM PT: Then you have Ann "you make me gag" Coulter who had the nerve to say this, "Democrats ‘Dropping the Blacks and Moving on to the Hispanics’"  Seriously, you can not make this shit up.
Read it and Watch it, here.

2:51 PM PT: I thought Micheal Steele was a joke as head of the RNC, but Reince Preibus surely beats him, "Reince Priebus: Last Week Was ‘Good’ For GOP"  I don't know what kind of cloud he is laying on but watch it, here.

5:14 PM PT: New DNC Ad put together the Sunday Roundup on Mitt Romney and his 47% remarks.  NOT GOOD.

5:18 PM PT: I am putting all these roundtable links clips up because none of it was GOOD for Mitt Romney.

Paul Ryan calls Social Security a "welfare-transfer system" and it is on AUDIO

This came from Paul Ryan in 2005, no wonder the Seniors in Florida booed his butt at the AARP Conference:

According to Ryan, Social Security is a “collectivist,” “welfare-transfer system,” that Congress can only fix by transitioning it to “an individually pre-owned, pre-funded retirement system.” In other words, by privatizing it.

If Social Security is “personalized,” as Ryan put it (to knowing laughter from the audience), then “every laborer in America will not only be a laborer but a capitalist,” which will create “that many more people in America who are not going to listen to the likes of Dick Gephardt and Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, the collectivist, class warfare-breathing demagogues.”

Well, if the seniors in Florida booed him in Florida for bringing that voucher crap down there, then you really need to listen to how Paul Ryan slams social security with total disdain

We don't need these plutocrats in the White House, period.

Listen to the audio, here. Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom to listen.

Ann Romney to GOP critics, "Stop it, this is hard..." (Audio)

Look, wives, kids and family members are always thrown to the headlights in a candidate's dream of becoming President of the United States. I get it. It is hard, but if you listen to this audio the more I wonder why Ann Romney does not have solid talking points or a good media consultant with her at all times.

She wants the GOP media to stop criticizing Romney and just jump on the bandwagon. Well, she needs to understand until her husband stops torpedoing his own campaign, the criticism will not stop.

And my 2 cents, she is as out of touch as her husband, period.

During an interview early this evening with Radio Iowa, Mrs. Romney directly addressed her fellow Republicans who’ve criticized her husband.

“Stop it. This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring,” she said. “This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.”
Lucky to have Mitt Romney's qualifications for this country? I will pass.

Obama up 50% in CO, IA and WI (NBC/WSJ/Marist Poll)

Seriously, how can Mitt ROBBED ME really think he can NOT campaign and win a presidency?

Anyway, here:

President Barack Obama leads Mitt Romney in Colorado, Iowa and Wisconsin, reaching the key 50 percent support threshold in all three battlegrounds, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls of these states.

In both Colorado and Wisconsin, Obama is ahead by 5 points among likely voters (including those learning toward a candidate), 50 percent to 45 percent.

And in Iowa, the president’s edge over Romney is 8 points, 50 percent to 42 percent.

I have to agree with radio lefty, Norman Goldman, how can Romney expect to win this and he is not campaigning?

This is one vague and weird presidential campaign I have ever witnessed. Romney actually believe that he can just carpet bomb these swing states, that daily DON'T look swing and become president on nothing? Well, we are witnessing the voters decision become HARD towards Romney, thanks to Romney doing himself in. While, his campaign is saying the public want more MITT!!! Seriously, after all your own bullshit has blown in the wind for all of us to smell it? Good Luck.

Next stop, the Republicans will run to the mattresses to save their own asses and say the hell with Mitt Romney.

More from the poll:

A plurality of likely voters view Romney in a negative light in all three states. In Colorado, it’s 43 percent favorable to 50 percent unfavorable; in Iowa, it’s 42 percent to 50 percent; and in Wisconsin, it’s 43 percent to 46 percent.

By contrast, out of last week’s polls in Florida, Ohio and Virginia, just one of them – Ohio – found Romney’s favorable/unfavorable rating under water.

Lastly, Chuck Todd from NBC/MSNBC blasted Mitt Romney for not even CAMPAIGNING!! Seriously, this man thought he could run a ONE NOTE campaign, deliver no specifics and folks will flock to him. I think he is toast, but that does not mean we sit on our laurels and don't get this vote out. We double down and get every vote out!!

And the bonus, from Lawrence O'Donnell, The Last Word from last night:

All about Mitt and Ann Romney LYING. And you think you can win the people's vote by constantly lying? Good Luck and soon GOOD RIDDANCE.

Mitt, "Inherited nothing, but we earned it the old fashioned way..." REALLY??? (video)

Just watch this bald face lie. You call not having nothing, no job money, but lived on stocks? Seriously. Do you know anyone who lives like this?

NBC/Wall Street Journal Poll Numbers

Mitt Romney IS Thurston Howell III

Man, talk about flagrant disregard to the very voters you need to pull the LEVER for you.

Which goes back to my very distinct question, "Why does Mitt Romney want to be President?"

And it goes back to my premise, he just want to check it off his bucket list. Because after listening to his blatant disregard for almost half of this country, it can not be anything else.

Read more and watch more, here.

Lastly, Chuck Todd (clip below) brought up the "why does Mitt Romney want to be president?" By indicating the man hardly campaigns like he wants it. He is hardly in any battleground states, but running around collecting checks. Well, I will tell you why. Mitt Romney is going to go the scorch earth tactic by saturating these states with negative ads. He will play the air game from October until election day, November 6th. This is all he has left because, let us face the facts, the man is one of the most horrible candidates I have witnessed running for the presidency in decades. Will it work? Maybe, but my gut tells me NO. When you cross off half of the country as free loaders, do you think many will show up to vote for you?

I just don't think so.

The takedown of Mitt Romney

In total agreement with this:

Romney has dumbed himself down to fit a Republican Party that has become anachronistic, hateful and foolish. He has never once stood up to the party's extremist base in this campaign--not even when asked whether he would accept a deficit deal with $10 in spending cuts for every $1 in new revenues, not even on immigration and contraception, issues that sent women and Latinos scurrying toward the exits. His has been a shameful, shameless campaign. The public will occasionally turn out an incumbent President, but only when offered a real alternative. Mitt Romney has offered them only a mirage.
Link

Face it!! I only want to be President to check it off my bucket list!!

Photobucket

I always have asked the core question about any politician running for President. Why?

It is the "why" that has Romney in the position he is in.

This has to be one of the most compromised politicians we have witnessed in any presidential contest. He stands for everything, anything and absolutely nothing.

That is the main problem with Mitt Romney.

Panic has entrenched the Romney Campaign in Boston. A negative, boring, lack of vision campaign in Tampa netted him absolutely nothing in the polls. Even the speakers at the Republican Convention forgot what their mission was and pompously promoted themselves, not Mitt Romney. That says much right there. So, when the time came for the Democratic Convention the Boston crew watched in poll tested HORROR of the dynamic, diverse, honest, energetic Democratic Convention. Practically, every speaker had praise and confidence in President Obama, they said it often. During the Democratic Convention nothing good was said of Mitt Romney, his character was attacked, his record scoured through and the question of trust was front and center. Hell, the Democrats even clapped for former President George W. Bush and his work for aids in Africa. His own party's convention could not even utter his name.

It comes down to this, when you confront the American Public and ask for their vote, you must give specifics on policies, you must capture your vision, you must be honest and mostly, you got to relate to Joe and Joesetta Bucketlist. He is unable to do all the above because he does not know how.

Mitt Romney has lived the American Dream, the American "Rich Financial" Dream. His only focus in his life has been his church, his family and making money. While making money he never thought of the aftermath of the decisions he made, he did not care. Mitt Romney has shattered many lives, American Dreams for the bottomline, his money. This equates to a man with no conscience, one who is cold as steel.

Watching this hilarity of his campaign now only concludes to me that he will do anything, say anything, spend as much money as possible to have the keys to the oval office. Another thing, he will never be specific on any policy because he has sold that out all ready to the many millionaires and billionaires who want policy to only help THEM and no one else. He already sold his presidency to the premise that "corporations are people too".

In a phrase that Governor Deval Patrick (MA) stated during his speech in Charlotte, "He's a fine fellow and a great salesman, but as governor he was more interested in having the job than doing it."

Folks, Mitt Romney, if elected would not care if it was for ONE TERM. He only cares to check off the box for "President" on his bucket list.

The FED announcement to boost the economy is a HUGE DEAL

U.S.stocks shot up sharply in midday trading after investors cheered the Federal Reserve's move to launch a new round of steroid-like stimulus in an effort to invigorate the slow-growing economy and jumpstart a weak job market.

Heading into the closely-watched meeting the consensus on Wall Street was that the Fed would launch a third round of bond buying, an unconventional policy known as "quantitative easing," or QE, in an effort to keep interest rates low and spark more business activity, boost confidence and bolster hiring by businesses.

And the Fed delivered, announcing that it would purchase mortgage backed bonds at a rate of $40 billion per month.

The Fed's aggressive moves pretty much send the message that it will continue to assist the economy And that was met with relief by market participants, says Frank Fantozzi, president and CEO at Planned Financial Services in Cleveland, Ohio.

Believe me, the GOP does not want to hear any of this. Buying bonds at 40B a month should be a serious boost to the economy.

Expect a serious denouncement by Romney and Crew. Full story, here.

Scarborough was so upset the man was beet red through the whole exchange. Carl Bernstein did not back down on his critique of the Tea Party and how weak Romney is. Plus, Bernstein explained thoroughly how Romney is beholded to this group and why he can never tack to the middle.

Flip/Flop games of Romney on Healthcare (Video)

This is a great back and forth from Hardball with Chris Matthews. It begins with the riveting FDR 1936 take down of the Republicans.

Romney Spokesperson will not give specifics on tax loopholes (Video)

This is the main problem of the Romney/Ryan Team. They think that they can just keep talking fluff and the American public is dumb, but they are finding out that the public is not DUMB. Just look at all the polls out now!! Tara Wall, Romney Campaign Senior Adviser was horrible on MSNBC Jansing & Co. And Paul Ryan is one of the most blantant liars out there!!

More Bad News for Romney from CNN/ORC Poll

Obama up 6 with likely voters and up 8 with registered voters. This is a clear indication with all the other polling out that Mitt Romney needs to drastically change the direction of his campaign or could face a blowout in November.

In all reality, this race never felt close to me for many reason, but mainly because of a very unpopular candidate. Remember, people vote for who they like in the end and this is a clear detriment to Mitt Romney.

Read all the polling information, here.

Joe Scarborough: "Romney a flawed candidate"

And this from Mark Halperin:

Romney still has the debates, millions and millions of dollars in TV ads and weeks of campaigning to try to turn things around. But he faces the immediate threat of both quiet and loud we-told-you-so’s from Republicans who last year had the very worries they fear are being manifested now. Romney is an awkward, unlikable candidate. The author of Romneycare is ill positioned to attack Obamacare. And Romney’s shifting positions make him an easy mark for an aggressive White House.
Talk about OUCH!!!

AWWWWWW, FREAK OUT!!!!

New Memo Confirms That The Romney Camp Is Starting To Freak Out About Polls

I just HAD to go there....

As new tracking polls show President Barack Obama benefiting from a big post-convention bounce, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign is starting to sound a little bit panicky.

In a new campaign memo circulated this morning, Romney's pollster Neil Newhouse warns people not to get "too worked up about the latest polling."

Well, they SHOULD be worried, remember the RNC Chairman Priebus stated that Mitt Romney would get a SIGNIFICANT bounce from his convention. Well, we all know that did not happen after that disastrous convention. So, in all honesty with less than 60 days left, Romney Camp should be very worried. Read it all, here.

This is why Paul Ryan is full of shit.

Norah O'Donnell from CBS News on Face the Nation slammed him, every time he tried to weasel out of shit he VOTED FOR!!!!

This is why the negative attack ads will be coming to your television set, SOON...

Here's The Most Important Post-Convention Bump For Obama That Puts Him In A Great Spot For Re-Election
Yes, the Mitt Romney Campaign should be very afraid....
Obama's approval rating in Gallup now stands at 52 percent — above the 50 percent mark that usually nearly ensures re-election. Moreover, his disapproval rating has dropped to just 42 percent.

Pre-convention, Obama's approval-to-disapproval rating stood at 45 percent to 48 percent. That means it has swung 13 points during and in the aftermath of the convention.

The last time Obama was at 52 percent was during the three-day period of May 23-25, 2011.

Obama's approval rating also jumped to the same 52 percent mark in Rasmussen's daily tracking poll, while 47 percent disapprove. That compares to a 48-52 approval-to-disapproval split the day the convention started.
Folks, get ready because the ads that will run in swing states will be unfactchecked, mostly divisive, racially tinged and down right hateful.

Which means getting out the vote is more critical than ever.

The real question is how big of a bounce will Obama get after the DNC Convention?

Although the job numbers were not great, 96K created, with the unemployment number ticking downward to 8.1% it still indicates that the economy is anemic. It also indicates that the general public has gotten used to the economy trekking slowly along and though the economy is the number one issue, it is turning out to be not the only issue with voters.

The conventional wisdom was that Friday's jobs report was suppose to stomp all over the President's speech and/or the whole tenure of the Democratic Convention. That is not happening.

On Friday, we began to see reasonably clear signs that President Obama would receive some kind of bounce in the polls from the Democratic convention.

Mr. Obama had another strong day in the polls on Saturday, making further gains in each of four national tracking polls. The question now is not whether Mr. Obama will get a bounce in the polls, but how substantial it will be.
While everyone is in agreement that the economy is still very anemic, the American Public also has witnessed a vitriolic congress who has been unwilling to work to move this country forward. Mitt Romney have not helped his cause of why he should capture the White House and his Republican congress has not helped their cause as to why they should retain power in congress.

Plainly, Mitt Romney is not a strong candidate. The public has heard every flip flop from him and the dogging tax issue remains a question and mystery to many Americans. Clearly, there is a trust issue when you look at Mitt Romney. The Congressional Republicans have not helped their cause either. The continuous lack of clear leadership opened up a can of worms when their celebrity kingpin, Rush Limbaugh went after Sandra Fluke when she spoke up on behalf of women's reproductive issues. The tepid response from GOP leaders have lit an angry fire for women. Along with the Rick Santorum talk about banning birth control have led women further away from the GOP. Then let us not forget the words of Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO) who is the Republican Senate Candidate. He really said that legitimate rape victims bodies can shut down pregnancies. Legitimate? That alone has made millions of women question these crazy MEN in the Republican Party and their judgment on the concern of women's health.

Add all this in with the spectacular diverse presentation of the Democratic Convention, the public is viewing Romney and the Republicans, less and less. When you run towards the crazy rhetoric of the far right, which Romney has embraced, you will continue to exclude the very voters you need. Women, minorities, LGBT communities, students it is these very groups that the Republican Party has went after with disdain and it is these groups that will turn the Republican Party away, along with Mitt Romney in November.

Lastly, will the bump hold? Who knows, but with President Obama extending his lead and there is less than 60 days to the ballot box, this can not be good news for Mitt Romney.

Mitt Romney spends a lot of time in this campaign talking about his business experience and about how, if elected, he will create "lots of jobs." I've been thinking, this pitch sounds familiar. And you know why? Because it's the same thing he said when he ran for governor of my state. He promised to bring business to the state, but when he was in office, Massachusetts was 47th out of all 50 states in job creation. There's a reason for that: Governor Romney cut education, he cut workforce training, he disguised his tax hikes as "fees," and he still exploded our long term debt by $2.6 billion. Mitt likes business-speak. Think of me as a reference check. In Massachusetts, Mitt Romney had the one job in his life that's closest to being president, and he wasn't all that good at it.

Bill Maher DESTROYS Dinesh D'Souza's propaganda Obama 2016 movie

Dinesh D'Souza is a PIECE OF SHIT. Straight up. His logical thinking in putting this Obama 2016 movie together vears from basic logic. Bill Maher tore him a NEW ONE when he categorically destroyed his premise for this movie.

And the AP Factchecking states: "Anti-colonial" Obama not plausible"

Seriously, there is so much bullshit out here that is incorrect, you seriously got to dig through it to find the truth, IF YOU CAN.

Romney ceding Ohio (4 now)

Mitt Romney? Nothing. Obama’s Republican challenger has spent much of the summer racing around the country gathering campaign donations to pay for advertising. And the legal restraints that kept him from spending money raised for the general election were lifted a week ago, when the party officially nominated him for president. Yet for reasons that his advisors declined to discuss, Romney has ceded the advertising airwaves to Obama over the last week in Ohio and other battleground states. The sudden cease-fire offered a surprising lull in what for months had been a guns-blazing advertising war waged in Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa and New Hampshire — on one side, Romney and his allies; on the other, the president and his.
Look, we all know what is going on here. Romney categorically eliminated his primary opponents by blistering, negative ads. He did not have a ground game and will not have one this fall. His whole premise will be the AIR WAR. He may cease now, but he and his super pac(s) will come out blazing with some of the most negative and racially tinged ads this country will see during a presidential election. Just hold your hats and get ready for the fight. Full article, here.

DNC Convention Highlights: Mayor Julián Castro, San Antonio, TX (Keynote Speaker)

This stuck with me: "In the end, the American dream is not a sprint, or even a marathon, but a relay. Our families don't always cross the finish line in the span of one generation. But each generation passes on to the next the fruits of their labor. My grandmother never owned a house. She cleaned other people's houses so she could afford to rent her own. But she saw her daughter become the first in her family to graduate from college. And my mother fought hard for civil rights so that instead of a mop, I could hold this microphone."

DNC Convention Highlights: Mayor Corey Booker (New Jersey)

Full Text of Speech, Here.

DNC Convention Highlights : Governor Deval Patrick (MA)

This whole speech was EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish. But this stayed with me:

"This is the president who delivered the security of affordable health care to every single American after 90 years of trying. This is the president who brought Osama bin Laden to justice, who ended the war in Iraq and is ending the war in Afghanistan. This is the president who ended "don't ask, don't tell" so that love of country, not love of another, determines fitness for military service. Who made equal pay for equal work the law of the land. This is the president who saved the American auto industry from extinction, the American financial industry from self-destruction, and the American economy from depression. Who added over 4.5 million private sector jobs in the last two-plus years, more jobs than George W. Bush added in eight.

The list of accomplishments is long, impressive and barely told—even more so when you consider that congressional Republicans have made obstruction itself the centerpiece of their governing strategy. With a record and a vision like that, I will not stand by and let him be bullied out of office and neither should you."
