Oooooh, la-la, the Obamas out on a date night on Martha's Vineyard

After two days behind the presidential veil, President Obama finally gave folks on Martha's Vineyard what they had been waiting for: a glimpse of him and his wife.

The Obamas ventured out into Oak Bluffs' little downtown for an evening out at The Sweet Life, a fancy little restaurant.

Rumors flew before he arrived, and a crowd formed quickly, with cameras flashing at every black SUV that ambled down the street.

The Obamas finally arrived in time for 7:30 p.m. reservations at the restaurant. Earlier, he had spent about 90 minutes at the home of his friend and adviser, Valerie Jarrett.
