Whistle Stop Train Tour

In the final leg of the President-elect’s incredible journey to Washington, D.C., he’ll be doing a Whistle Stop Train Tour, starting in Philadelphia, the city where our democracy was born.

10:05 a.m. - Philadelphia, PA
The President-elect will hold an event in Philadelphia, PA before boarding a train headed toward Washington, D.C. Tickets are required for the event and have been distributed to the public.

1:00 p.m. - Wilmington, DE
The President-elect will stop for a public event with the Vice President-elect in the back of the Wilmington Train Station, 100 South French Street. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.

4:15 p.m. - Baltimore, MD
The President-elect and Vice President-elect will make their last stop in Baltimore for another public event at the War Memorial Plaza, 101 N. Gay St., Baltimore, MD. Doors open at 1:00 p.m.

Heads up, Union Station arrival in Washington, D.C. is closed to the public.
Tomorrow's day-long whistle-stop tour starts off several big events that mix history, Hollywood and humanity. It is a tribute to President Abraham Lincoln, another former Illinois senator who rode the rails to his inauguration.

In Baltmore, the crowd expectation is 20,000. It will be televised live on television. In fact, C-SPAN is your best friend. The coverage of the whole Obama Weekend Inaugural Gala will be televised, as well on all the cable networks.

All I can write is this, I don't remember this much excitement EVER in my lifetime for a new president.
