Sarah Palin found to have abused her powers in Alaska

Poor Sarah

Sarah Palin unlawfully abused her power as governor by trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper, the chief investigator of an Alaska legislative panel concluded Friday. The politically charged inquiry imperiled her reputation as a reformer on John McCain's Republican ticket.

Well, this is not good for the McCain/Palin ticket.

Yes, expect the typical it's a witch hunt, but it may fall on deaf ears with the commission's report having more republicans on the commission than democrats.

I never understood Palin. To me, she is not well polished. Sure, she knows all the buzz words and knows how to do a cute "wink and nod" but poltically she is just not there.

Also, she has given much liberty to her husband to help her in her job. This is coming back to haunt her. Todd Palin was not elected to run the State of Alaska, Sarah Palin was and it is evident that maybe she just don't know what she is doing.

I state the above because look at her performance, thus far, on the national stage, two words, "a joke." Is this the representation of Alaska? Is this the best that they can offer? I don't think so. She is too much of a lightweight, who does not understand fundamental policy. I do give her credit for understanding oil and oil revenue, but there is much more to governing than cutting checks.

This is another albatross around the McCain/Palin ticket. How can they continue to run Chicago ads about politicians against Obama, if she was cited for abuse of power as Governor of Alaska?

Take that talking point off the table.
The panel found that Palin let the family grudge influence her decision-making even if it was not the sole reason Monegan was dismissed. "I feel vindicated," Monegan said. "It sounds like they've validated my belief and opinions. And that tells me I'm not totally out in left field."

Branchflower said Palin violated a statute of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act.

When this election is over, Sarah got a lot of 'splanin' to do in Alaska.
