Ok, we have heard the "O"-ness speak in Berlin. Yes, I grabbed the "O"-ness from my friend at Field Negro.

Now, we hear the cable desk clerks, chirp away, with the framing of "maybe or maybe not" Obama should have made the Berlin speech.

Look, we all know that Barack Obama had to make the middle east trip and the european trip, we knew that. He is not known on the national stage and the American public needed to see if he belong on that stage. Conclusion: he does.

Burn these images in your mind, or better yet, bookmark your favorite pictures that I have on this blog to mouse click memory. Obama's 5 million ad buy for the Olympics will include many of these images. A good thing.

Now, after Barack's sit down on Sunday with Tom Brokaw on Meet the Press, it is time to roll up the sleeves and address the economy. Time come out with precise, crystal clear points of the difference between Obama vs. McCain.

Lastly, McCain right now is the running joke that is not being publicly laughed at on tee-vee. Why? He was the one, again, who dared Obama to go overseas and Obama did. So, he is the one who had to deal with his campaign imploding, not knowing how to stay on message, and lost an opportunity to one up Obama by speaking to folks about his economic plan.

It has been a downright shame watching John McCain become a buffoon, but even more important to watch him painfully on teevee show his outright disdain and jealousy of Barack Obama.

This trip had to happen. Period. Now that Obama has gotten what he needed from it, time to move on and win this thing in November.

Obama Echoes Reagan in Call for Global Unity

In a soaring speech delivered before tens of thousands of cheering Germans, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., argued America has no better partner than Europe, and stressed the need for European troops in Afghanistan to help defeat the Taliban and al Qaeda.

"I come to Berlin as so many of my countrymen have come before. Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for president, but as a citizen -- a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world," Obama said, standing before Berlin's famed Victory Column in Berlin. continue
