Inaugural Program, Balls, Parties, Schedules, Information.....

All the Inauguration information you need on the parties, balls, programs, schedules, etc., or a place to get started.

There are the Official Inaugural Ball stops (including the Youth Ball) for the POTUS and VPOTUS and the unofficial balls and parties starting to gear up all over Washington, DC.

The official kickoff is at the Lincoln Memorial on January 18, 2009, with Bruce Springsteen free concert in tow.

AAPI Grassroots Gala and Afterparty

Come join your fellow grassroots activists as we celebrate our achievements, recognize our leaders and look towards the future! All proceeds will benefit APAP PAC's activities, including the Civic Project.

Please note, there will also be an exclusive Pre-Gala VIP Cocktail Reception from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., celebrating the inaugural year of the Civic Project. Tickets for this event are $250. A limited number of All Access Passes (tickets to the Gala, the Cocktail Reception and After-Party) are available for $325, as well as special host committee packages for $500. EVENT OVERVIEW:

Celebrate this historic inauguration in one of the most elegant private party venues in D.C.--Perry's Restaurant in the heart of Adams Morgan. Guests attending this distinctively stylish gala celebration will enjoy a five-star selection of sushi, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and a partial open bar while listening to live jazz performed by world-class musicians. For the after-party, a cash bar and DJ will be available for revelers until dawn.

2. Attire

The attire for this event is Formal/Semi-Formal/Cocktail Attire.

3. Parking

Parking will be extremely limited. Guests are encouraged to consider other modes of transportation. Perry's Restaurant in Adams Morgan is accessible via metro (Woodley Park Metro on the red line). Limited valet service may be available for VIPs. Please e-mail: APAPinauguration@gmail.com for more information.

4. Dining

Seating will be limited. For the pre-gala reception and the gala, cuisine will be presented through a combination of sushi/hors d'oeuvres/dessert stations and passed hors d'oeuvres. The Pre-Gala VIP Cocktail Reception will include an open bar and the Gala will include a partial open bar (wine and beer). For the After-Party, a cash bar will be available and light fare will be provided.

Lincoln 2.0 Inaugural Ball on Sunday, January 18, 2008 at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, with Anita Baker, Keb Mo, John Cruz and others. This will be attended by the PEOTUS and VPEOTUS.
